Road trip from Sydney to Queensland Part 1
I love to travel... Does anyone here do? As long as you plan it well and you're ready to sit for hours in your car then let’s do it. Driving from Sydney to Brisbane takes 12hrs straight with no stop over and the distance is about 1000 kilometers.
The road between them travels for much of the way along the Pacific Ocean which is one of the most scenic in Australia. There are many tourist spots can be found along the way. We have many options on where to stop over and have a good night rest from the long drive. It will also depend on how long is your holiday. Usually a 2-3 days travel would be enough. If you don’t have a car, there are lots of cars or caravans for hire. You can book it online like the Australia car rentals and vroom vroom.
On your first day:
It’s better to travel early in the morning, less traffic and more time to visit some scenic place.
From Sydney, your next stop would be Newcastle. It is the second largest city in NSW and a gateway to Hunter Valley region. It would take about 2 hours and 15 minutes drive from Sydney. They have some popular beaches like Nobby beach. In Hunter valley, you can experience the wine and cheese tasting. There are also a lot of activities that you can do like dinning, horse drawn carriage tour, Hot air ballooning and helicopter tour.
The next stop is Port Macquarie. It takes around 3 hours travel and 60kms north of Newcastle. This area has the best climate in Australia. The maximum temperature would not go above 30 degrees C and not below 15 degrees C. It is a great time to have an afternoon snack by the beach. If you love nature, you are going to love this place.
Coffs Harbour would be your last stop for the day. It is known as the banana growing country. From Port Macquarie it takes 2 hours and 23 minutes and about 163kms north. There are heaps of accommodations in this place so you better not worry if you haven’t book, but it is a great deal if you book online before you visit coz it will save you time and money. They offer lots of things to do in this place; you can enjoy skydiving, surfing, and mountain biking, scuba diving and green outback experience. You must not forget to have a picture with the Giant banana.
