Becoming an United States Citizen can be a much easier process that it seems. It does take time and effort but it is possible to successfully complete the process. Here are a few steps to help you on the way to becoming a United States Citizen.

  1. The first thing you need to do is contact the United States government for the necessary information and forms to start the process of becoming an United States citizen. A easy way of going about this step is going on to the United States government website for immigration.

  2. Once you start the process of becoming an United States Citizen and have filled out the necessary forms you will need to study for the citizenship test. There are practice test for you to study. The United States Citizenship test is comprised of questions about how the government works, citizen rights, and United States history.
  3. The form you will need to fill out is the United States immigration N-400 form. The N stands for naturalization. You will need to fill this out before you take the citizenship test. You will also likely be interviewed. They will look for how well you will integrate with in American society and how well you speak the English language.

  4. Becoming a United States citizen can be a long process. Sometimes you can get somewhat discouraged by it. Don't give up though. There is a world of opprotunity here in the United States. There are plenty of reasons for becoming a United States citizen. Once you become a United States citizen though be sure to make a honest attempt to intigrate in the United States culture and society.
