Bukisa vs ArticleIncome

Aug 25th, 2009 by UmiNoor

Bukisa and ArticleIncome are both paid to write sites that offer writers residual income from writing articles. But which is better, Bukisa or ArticleIncome?

I'm a member of both Bukisa and ArticleIncome.com for awhile now. I joined Bukisa first but when I found out that the payout is based on per 1000 page views, I was disheartened and a little reluctant to participate. To me, to get 1000 page views is impossibly unachievable. So, I decided not to participate. I later stumbled upon ArticleIncome.com and found that at this site I get to share the site's Adsense revenue depending on my membership level. Read my review of ArticleIncome.com to understand the workings of this site. And since I'm being paid by Google through my Adsense account and not by the site itself, it seems like a safer choice.

I wrote 7 articles for ArticleIncome.com and when I checked my Adsense account, there was no income coming from my ArticleIncome channel. After 2 months, my 7 articles finally earned me $0.11 of Adsense income. How pathetic I thought.

Then I came across a posting at a writing forum where one forumer talked about her Bukisa income. It seems that Bukisa pays for aggregate page views which means the total page views for all your articles. So, if I were to write 100 articles, I only need 10 page views per article to reach 1000 page views which means the more I write the more page views I'll get. This is great.

So I went back to Bukisa and started to write. After 2 weeks with 10 articles, my earnings is already $0.31. Yes, not much but still I don't have to wait for 2 months and to get only $0.11 at ArticleIncome.com.

Furthermore, after an experiment I conducted (written up in my article Google Loves Bukisa), I found that my articles at Bukisa are immediately indexed by Google. So if I were to optimize my keywords, I will get many organic traffic. This is more good news.

Unlike ArticleIncome.com which limits the number of articles you've published elsewhere, Bukisa allows writers to publish articles they have previously published elsewhere as long as they own the copyrights. I was tempted to delete my articles at ArticleIncome.com and publish them all at Bukisa but ArticleIncome.com is another source of income coming from Adsense without having to maintain a blog or website. And anyway, I didn't do anything to promote my articles at ArticleIncome.com and still I earn money from that site albeit a very small amount. So, I decided to leave the articles there.

Both sites produce me income from different sources and both have its pros and cons. So, why not be a member of both sites? One source of income coming from page views (join Bukisa.com if you haven't already) and the other from Adsense. I have the best of both worlds : Bukisa and ArticleIncome.com.

Bukisa is not a scam if u stick to rules and regulations. It’s just like another way of sharing revenue from the sharing; similarly you can try http://glocalwriters.com and get 80% adsense revenue earned at the site. Joining is free and easy

You can improve the traffic to your site by using a free social book marking submitter called Social Marker. It’s easy to use. They have a list of social book markings sites. You have to sign up for them first. I would recommend signing up to the top performing ones. You can sign up for more later. From that point, all you have to do is submit your article title, input the appropriate tags and hit submit. Try not to submit more to more than 10 sites in a day because it would be considered spamming. That should help bring more traffic to your articles. Hope that helps.
