Accusing a site of scam is very serious. Did Bukisa scam its writers? In this article, I will show how this misunderstanding may have come about.
You've probably heard some people in some forums talked about being scammed by Bukisa. First of all, we need to understand the meaning of the word scam. If a site has scammed you means that you didn't get what the site has promised you after you've paid to participate or even if it was free to participate but the site didn't honor its part in the deal, then you can say that you've been scammed by the site owner. But this deal goes both ways. You may also be the one who tries to scam the site!
When you join any site to participate in its money making program, you must read the site's TOS carefully. They are not just yedda, yedda to be ignored. Read them and make sure you've understood them before you tick the box. If you've violated the terms then don't blame the site if your account is suspended or even cancelled and your earnings forfeited. Don't start screaming "Bukisa scams me!"
At Bukisa, writers are told to use only articles that they've written themselves; no PLR. If you have to use a PLR article, you must rewrite it in such a way that it will appear unique. If it is found that you've used a PLR article when it is forbidden to do so, don't blame Bukisa for suspending you. And don't say Bukisa has scammed you.
Another way you might have "scammed" Bukisa is your traffic source. Traffic source from traffic exchanges is strictly forbidden as this source doesn't bring readers only clicks. Even Google frowns upon the use of traffic exchanges to get clicks to their Adsense advertising. If you're found to use traffic exchanges, not only will your account be cancelled, you'll be banned from ever participating in Google Adsense program for life!
Traffic source from traffic exchanges don't benefit anyone. The clicks don't come from targeted visitors but rather from people who are paid to click. This is the worst kind of traffic. The site doesn't earn anything from this type of traffic. If the site doesn't earn then how are they to pay their participants?
So before you accuse Bukisa of scamming you, ask yourself this "Were you trying to scam bukisa or did Bukisa really scam you?"

I would like to think of myself as an educator. I love to share what knowledge I have so everyone will benefit from it.
I am not claiming Bukisa scammed me, but I am wondering what is happening. Today I discovered at least a dozen of my articles, which is all the time I have had to review so far, are posted all over the Internet at various websites.
It appears they have been stolen/copied and just published elsewhere. Sometimes they use their own byline and other times they copy everything, including my name and title that appears at the bottom of every Bukisa article. The only place I have published the FULL articles is at Bukisa, so I know they are pulling it from there.
HOW? I thought Bukisa had it set-up so viewers/readers could not copy the articles if I checked the box stating no copying/altering. In other words, I retain full copyrights to all my articles published at Bukisa.
My articles are not the only ones I came across either. I found several other Bukisa writer’s articles. Some of those had a Webika copyright notice at the bottom posted right along with the illegal republishing of their article.
One thing is obvious to me. Bukisa is NOT protecting its writer’s copyrights when they publish at this website. What is so frustrating is tracking down all these and asking them to remove them. A complete waste of time. There are literally hundreds of websites out there with my work now. They got it for FREE. I don’t have the time to go after all of them in the courts.
I am researching what else can be done. I have found one promising option. There is something called the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), which Internet Service Providers and search engines (major ones like Google, Yahoo, AOL, AltaVista and others) are required to help copyright owners to have violator’s websites quickly removed from the web.
We as writers and authors don’t have to put up with this. Here is a website that explains more about this in detail: http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2006/04/10/what-do-you-do-when-someone-steals-your-content/
I won’t “steal” this writer’s content, but have provided the link to it. Lorelle at WordPress does an excellent job providing details and links to help you understand how to have websites taken down that are illegally using your content on their website. Be sure to click on the link for the DMCA major search engines info!
Check your articles. Conduct an advanced Google search using just the title of your article and see what pops up. I was amazed at how many different websites are using my content free and illegally. What really ticks me off is they are being ranked higher than my own website, so others are bypassing my site, lowering my potential income, to read it for free at the illegal websites!
If anyone else finds the same problem please post me a note at InkSpot at Bukisa or email me at snubba@live.com. Also, write Bukisa and ask what their intentions are to correct this problem. The way I see it is there isn’t any sense writing for Bukisa if they let everyone steal the content and publish it elsewhere.
Hi there RajeshK, I think you have to refer to the forum’s rules and TOS if they allow such things to be done because each forum has its own rules and TOS. Some may be less strict and even allow affiliate links but there are also those which are stricter and will ban you or edit your signature. Check with the individual forums which you’ve joined. All the best in promoting your articles.
Can I add links to my article in forum signatures in relevant forum, as I mostly write articles about SEO, Web designing, Development etc
Thank you Shanmugam for republishing this article on your blog. It’s a very good blog with great information indeed. I urge every one to take a look at Shanmugam’s wonderful blog.

“But this deal goes both ways. You may also be the one who tries to scam the site!” - Well said..
If people understand how Bukisa makes money through their site, co-operate to give only the original good quality articles and try to get only the natural legitimate traffic, then it will strengthen Bukisa’s page rank even more, finally resulting in an increase in Bukisa index… This is a nice article that needs to be sent to anyone who joins Bukisa.. They should told about the rules clearly
Well said there’s also people who open multiple accs then when they’re closed down accuse Bukisa of sscamming them.
Well done and a great way to set the record straight. I avoided Bukisa at first when there were reports of large numbers of articles being stolen from other sites and placed on here as other’s work. But the Bukisa higher ups appear to be crushing these scammers and bringing a sense of legit writing to the site so I joined up.
I would agree a lot of the time people try and find ways to scam them and end up getting there account blocked/closed b4 they can get anything from them theres a lot of this happening thease days and a lot of places get closed down due to people trying to scam athem and then them saying they are a scam and didnt pay me but closed my account but they havent told the full stroy..
I been networking and working on many sites over the years only just forund this one so i will ahve to wait and see how things progress on here.
Abiding to the rules will make life better for everyone who is involved. Persons who goes around and announced that they were scam are the ones who broke the rules. To be successful at anything you just has to put in the extra effort. Some persons love the easy way out which usual backfired on them. Enjoyed reading your article.
