Kim Phung Restaurant in Houston, Texas

Kim Phung is a fusion between Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine and it is located in downtown Houston at 2202 Jefferson and the hours are from Monday to Friday from 11:00 A.M to 10:00 P.M, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 A.M to 10:00 P.M, and the lunch buffet as well as dim sum is served from 11:00 A.M to 3:00 P:M. The lunch buffet is for $7.95 for adults and free for children under two.

The restaurant is extremely big and it is divided in four sections, the golden Phoenix which is the grand ball room, the golden turtle, the golden fish which is the smallest of the sections and the golden dragon room which is on the second floor. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very laid-back both during lunch and dinner times and is a great restaurant for families.

For their dinner menu for their appetizers you can order six Vietnamese egg rolls for $5.35, ten fried shrimp balls for $9.50 or pork dumplings for $4.95 or even the deep fried oysters for $7.50. For their soup choices you can order a small crab meat and shark fins soup for $5.00, or the Seafood Treasure Soup or a Won Ton Soup a small cup of $4.00, or what is called the thin soup which is a Vietnamese hot and sour fish soup for $7.95.

For their entrées you can order one of their dinner specials such as the number one which is Kung Pao sauce with a choice of beef, chicken, or shrimp served with steamed rice, Chinese egg rolls, and the soup of the day, or the number two which is sweet and sour sauce with a choice of beef, chicken, or shrimp served with steamed rice, Chinese egg rolls, and the soup of the day, or even the number four which is charcoal broiled pork, chicken or beef served with steamed rice, or even the number for $7.95.

If you prefer noodles and rice than you can order the chicken and sun dried fish fried rice for $6.95, the rice noodle with crab and shrimp soup for $4.50, or the crispy pan fried noodles with meat, seafood and vegetables for $8.95, or the shrimp fried rice for $6.25, or even the noodle with stewed beef for $4.50.
