If you are looking for a summary of the Poodle dog, you will find some valuable information about this canine to assist you in selecting one for your family.

Please consider adopting a dog or cat from one of  the many online sites providing you with a pet of your choice for considerably less than you would pay at a breeder or pet shop.  These homeless animals are available to anyone in any city in the United States. "RED" is a computer website providing much info about any dog you might be thinking about adding to your family. http://www.rescueeverydog.org.   another to click on is:   http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com

The Poodle breed is like no other canine. You have a choice of many sizes of this loving dog which include:

1.  Standard or Grande ranging from 15 to 24 inches high with some slightly taller.

2.  Medium or Moyen measure 14 to 18 inches tall.

3.  Miniature, Dwarf or Nain Poodles will be 11 to 15 inches in height

4.  Toy Poodles are the smallest with heights from just under 10 inches to 11 inches tall.

Most registered kennel clubs do not recognize Royal Standard, Teacup or Tiny Teacup labels. These are applied as a marketing name to induce customer interest.

Weight is not a consideration with this canine breed when AKC refers to the Poodle breed.

Intelligence is one of the traits Poodles all possess in abundance. The keen hunting ability, agility and sportsmanship will set this Poodle in a class by themselves. Even the Tiny Teacup Poodle will point because of the gun dog category they are bred from birth. Because of their degree of intellect they are easily potty trained and pick up tricks quickly too.

Color variations could be black, white, brown and tan. Colors of  most of the body  might fade with age  while the ear hair will be a constant hue throughout their life. Life expectancy is from and astounding 12 to 20 years.  Shedding  is minimal and almost tout an allergen free label because of their hair texture and content. Grooming can be expensive if hired, so cost effective pet owners do their own clipping.

Poodle dogs love children and other pets, however it is necessary to allow them resting time to get refreshed from social interactions with animals and people.

You will be choosing a playful and valued family pet by selecting any of the Poodles I told you about earlier.
