These two exercises has curative effects for thigh muscles, spinal disorders, gastric troubles, asthmatics, and constipation.

Simple Yoga Exercises  – Vajra Asana

“Vajra Asana” can be considered a meditative posture while practicing it for meditative purposes one should close his/her eyes at the final stage.

Techniques

-          Sit on the floor and stretch both legs forward. Keep the heels and toes together. Hands by the side of the body, palms resting on the floor, fingers together and pointing forward.

-          Fold the right leg at the knee and place the foot under the right buttock. Similarly fold the left leg and place the left foot under the left buttock, the heels remains out, toes inside, and soles upward.

-          Hands resting on the respective thighs sit erect. Look ahead or close the eyes, breath normally. Now you have completed the “Vajra Asana” remain in the asana for few seconds.

Benefits

-          Strengthens thigh muscles and calf muscles.

-          Keeps genital organs healthy.

-          Beneficial for varicose veins if not held for long.

-          Relieve aching legs if done for ten minutes.

-          Relives rheumatic pain in the knees and heels.

Yogamudra Asana

Technique

-          Sit in “Vajra Asana”

-          Bring both the hands at your back and catch the right wrist with the left hand, first the right hand.

-          Keep the neck and spine straight look in front. Inhale deeply.

-          Exhale gradually and simultaneously start bending of upper area of the body and lowering the head towards the ground, let the head come down only as far as it can easily be lowered.

-          Do not give excessive strain to spine while lowering the head. If possible touch the ground with the forehead. Do not raise your buttock.

-          Stay in this position for few seconds.

-          Inhale gradually and simultaneously raise your head and upper area of the body. Release your hand and sit erect in Vajra Asana. Loosen the hands and the body.

-          Rest for few seconds. After resting make a few more rounds by following the same process.

-          Strengthens the digestive system. Remove renal weakness.
