When the holidays come around it is a great time to be creative and express your inner child. Decorating the outside of your home is just as important as the inside, it will be the first impression friends and family have when they arrive. Here are some ideas to think about.

Figurines:

Look for stationary and also electric figurines that can be placed on the lawn, along the driveway, and on the roof. Combine these figurines together to create scenes and moments throughout your front yard and on your patio or porch.  Use the figurines in ways that are not common or place different types together to give your yard a unique look to it.

Lights:

Lights are available in a huge array of colors and styles. String or hang them from the roof, on plants, and around the patio. Or choose large pole lights that lanterns and cages can be hung from. These can be electric or you can add candles to them.

Door Coverings:

Find coverings to place on the front door, garage door, or even the side doors. They can even be used on sliding glass doors. There are multiple styles and designs that either adhere to glass or are easily attached with hooks and removable backings.

Plants:

Cut or trim bushes, trees, and shrubs into holiday shapes. Or place figurines and lights on or around them. These are a great to use because you can light up an entire front yard with lights in trees and throughout the bushes and make temporary unique shapes and designs.

Go to The Street:

Wrap lights on the light poles, cover the power boxes or temporarily color the grass or rocks. Or line your driveway and/or walkway with lights or candles. Use every square inch of space and property available.

Combine all these ideas together to create a beautiful and different yard.
