Paris- a place of splendor

Paris has always been destination N:1 in Europe. Why is it so?

Paris, being a part of great historical events during splendid periods of time, with its magnificent palaces and beautiful gardens and parks, artistic masterpieces and hospitable atmosphere, has always been a palace of splendor.

How much time does a tourist need for visiting the historical and cultural monuments in this wonderful city?! The answer of this question is not an easy task. But you can be sure that you will need many hours. Why so? Because there are so many interesting spots that should be seen.

There is almost no person who has gone to the French capital and has not seen its symbol- the Eiffel Tower which is often called “the most beautiful in this city”. There have been years when people from Paris did not want this masterpiece but today there is no doubt that every Parisian is proud of it. As a triumph over the old monuments of the city, the Eiffel Tower symbolizes the modern era in the development of the city. Especially beautiful is the Tower at night. The lights on the Eiffel Tower make it a real beautiful masterpiece.

On the other side of the river Seine one can see the Palais de Chaillot. Following the way of this side of the river there are the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, other interesting places, and of course-the Louvre. Beginning its life in the 13th century as a fortress built near the river for defense of the settlement, later on being a royal dwelling, the Louvre, today, is another symbol of Paris. One can see lots of objects (about 400 000) which are a real treasury. Exhibitions of priceless pictures and sculptures fascinate the visitor of the Louvre, today.

On the opposite bank of the river the Notre Dame Cathedral should be mentioned. This is the third symbol of Paris.  Majestic façade, fine figures, beautiful rose-windows in other words: fascinating quality… So can be described the cathedral exterior. What about the interior? In one word: splendid! No one can say what sort of feeling he or she has when entering this incredible place.

Hotel des Invalides,  Arc de Triomphe, Jardin du Luxemburg, Pantheon, Sacre Coeur, Palais de Justice, La Madeleine, the famous Comedie Francaise, Opera… So many places show the splendor of the French capital-the unforgettable Paris!
