Tips: How to shop Online Safely:

  • Before selecting a store, do a background check. Look for physical address, landline phone number, call the company representative or request a catalog by mail.
  • Ensure that you explore the Web site for third party approval seals like BBBOnline or TRUSTe. Companies put these signs if they conform to the standards. You can look for these signs either on the site or in Terms and Conditions page.
  • Review the shipping method, store location, carrier they use and also if the store is providing tracking and insurance. If the product is being shipped from international locations, it may require custom and takes more time to reach the destination.
  • Before entering Credit Card information, ensure that the Web address begins with https and a tiny locked symbol appears on the bottom right of the screen.
  • Paying by Credit Card is safer when compared to buy with COD, Debit card, MO etc.
