So you're sitting at home thinking about all the possible career opportunities out there for a person like yourself to maybe even work with the state. One position that often goes overlooked is a job with the Missouri Department of Corrections. This is a career along the lines of law enforcement but is different in many ways and most of the time easier to get than a role as a police officer. I would recommend that you go and check out the minimum requirements before filling out an application. This could possibly save you some time if you are unable to even do the position. Here are some of the more generic required criteria for the various jobs: must be at least 21 years old, have no criminal background, possess a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or equivalent GED.

If a person is considered a good candidate for employment then they will likely be asked to continue on in the application process. The first step is to take and pass a video test that puts each applicant in various scenarios and asks them what they would in each situation. If you pass that then a background check will be performed to ensure you're worthy of a career with the Missouri Department of Corrections.
