To further enrich your mind about this amazing invention, let me elaborate further.

Did you know that the first computer printer was invented in 1953 and was develop by Remington-Rand for use on the Univac computer? Well that’s only the first wonderful things that happen to printers. To further enrich your mind about this amazing invention, let me elaborate further.

Today, there are three types of printer available on the market. The first one is the Dot Matrix printer. Dot Matrix printer is suitable for draft copies. They are a little bit noisy when it is in use. They are not in to use very much nowadays and was replace by the Ink-Jet printer. Ink-Jet printer was invented in 1976, but it took until 1988 for the Ink-Jet to become a well-known printer. It can print better colored pictures at an affordable price. It prints faster than the Dot Matrix printer too. Hewlett-Packard introduced the first Desk-Jet printer, at a price of $1000.

The third type of printer is the Laser-Jet printers. They are the fastest among the three types and are very common today. This type of printer prints the best quality of picture but it is more expensive than the Ink-Jet printers. In 1992, Hewlett-Packard released the first laser printer, the popular LaserJet 4. But before that, did you know that the original laser printer was developed at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center? Xerox Engineer, Gary Starkweather, adapted the Xerox copier technology adding a laser beam to it to come up with the laser printer.

And what about Hewlett-Packard? Who are they? William Hewlett and David Packard are the pioneers of the Silicon Valley, the largest computer manufacturing company in the world. They started by putting up a garage-based business. They began by developing specialized measuring devices, eventually producing a hugely popular HP-35, a programmable scientific calculator. During World War II, they began to design microwave products, beginning with a radar-jamming device. The company continues to grow as its founders articulate a management philosophy that comes to be known as “the HP Way”.

And lastly, here’s some easy printing tip using the Drag-and-Drop technique. First, open your Windows Explorer and locate the file that you want to print. After locating the file, locate the printer folder at the left plane of the Windows Explorer window. Right-click the Printer folder and click Open on the shortcut menu. Drag the title bar of the Printer window to the left side of your screen. And drag the title bar of the Windows Explorer’s window to the right side. The contents of both of these windows should be visible at the same time. If necessary, point to the edge of one of these windows (a double-headed arrow appears) and drag the pointer to resize the window. Drag the sample file from the right pane of the Windows Explorer’s window over the icon of the printer window. Just release the mouse button and you will see that the file is already sent to the printer.
