Fifty Things I've Learned
In Celebration of Life! In Celebration of Turning 50! This is Fifty Things I've Learned...And Life Goes On!
~Blooming Lilacs~
♥ Kids love hearing, "I love you"...get in their face about it when they are teens!
♥ Archive your life...you never know when you'll need the information
♥ Nettles sting...especially if your stupid brother pushes you into them :)
♥ It really is okay to admit you are wrong
♥ Look a person in the eyes when they are talking to you
♥ Start a tradition in your family...my mother-in-law collected Christmas ornaments for her boys, we got the box of memories our 1st year of marriage
♥ 52 card pick-up is no fun...unless you are the giver :)
♥ I've fallen in love with my Kodak EasyShare camera...as much as you can with an object =D
♥ Find something you are passionate about...give it your all
♥ My dogs love me unconditionally
~Our Big Boy~
♥ Forgiving and forgetting releases you
♥ Mixing bread with your hands is better than any mixer on the market
♥ Chai tea is awesome with a touch of honey and 1/2 & 1/2
♥ Smile...even if you think it's going to hurt
♥ I've learned a lot of lessons through my mistakes
♥ You have a right to speak up for yourself...choose your words
♥ I looked hot in a bikini...at 16 =D
♥ My husband is one of the good guys...bonus, he always makes me laugh
♥ People love to laugh...especially about life situations
♥ Don't ever drink and drive!

~Bread and Honey~
♥ Take responsibility for your actions, people don't wanna hear your excuses!
♥ Sitting down for Sunday night dinner with your family is a good thing
♥ Crying can heal what is hurting or bothering you
♥ I love puppy breath and kisses
♥ Plants die if you don't water them
♥ As a kid, if you cuss in front of your brother...guaranteed one of your folks will hear about it
♥ Be kind to everyone you meet...give em' that winning smile
♥ Playing spin the bottle does not always turn out the way you thought it shoulda, woulda, coulda!
♥ Honesty IS the best policy!
♥ Offer your shoulder for someone to cry on...never know when you will need theirs
~A Gorgeous SW Washington Sunset~
♥ Stinky feet and 'fluffs' can clear a room!
♥ Corn on the cob at the fair is a must
♥ I LOVE my iPod!
♥ You can make something spectacular for dinner with 3-4 ingredients from the pantry/fridge...just add your imagination and a few spices
♥ If it is too good to be true...red flag it
♥ I try really hard to remind myself during tough times that 'this too shall pass'!
♥ When someone compliments you say, "Thank you!"...they don't need to know that your butt is too big or you really should have changed your hair color :)
♥ Sing loud and often
♥ Elderly people have a lot to share if you take the time to listen
♥ Changing your outlook...changes your life!
~Funny Goat, Stuart~
♥ Cats are fickle, persnickety, and oh so loveable...hmm sounds like someone I know intimately :)
♥ I've learned to say 'no'...well most of the time =D
♥ Don't eat yellow snow...ever!
♥ Generally people are good...give them a chance!
♥ Put a dance into your step!
♥ When you say you are sorry, mean it!
♥ Penny candy is gone forever
♥ Your children can break your heart...it does not mean you love them any less!
♥ My first instinct has usually been right
♥ I love quotes...this is my current favorite! "Many aspire to change the world but few realize that everyone accomplishes that goal. Each day you live you are changing something. Rather than simply changing the world, one should aspire to make a positive change with each action they commit." ~Anon

I think I'll follow what you just did. When I reach thirty, I'll write 30 things I've learned in my thirty years of existence. By the way, that quote is so captivating. I so agree with it.
Wish I had thought to do a list when I turned 50, guess I will have to wait until I'm sixty now.
It's amazing the amount of knowledge you can accumulate in a mere half century! ;) Good thoughts.
Good stuff.
Smiled in recognition at quite a few of these - dogs, cats and ipod especially. :)
