Colon Cleansing - The Facts
Colon cleansing is a method of cleaning the colon, usually an alternative therapy which serves to remove all such bowel and fecal waste from the colon and limit the spread of toxins from a person’s intestinal or digestive tract.
A colon is the last part of your digestive system usually recognized as major parts of your large intestine. This is usually where the feces take on a more solid form while traveling through your intestinal tract. Due to the movement of the bowel with the intestines, the bowel leaves behind a fecal residue or waste on the walls of the colon which occasionally is attributed to symptoms of bad-health, general malnourishment and may harbor gut flora pathogens and in extreme cases some parasites. It is usually a way of cleaning harmful waste substances and unwanted accumulated fecal residue from the colon, built up on the walls of the intestine.Although the modern medicinal benefits of the technique are yet to be identified, there is no scientific evidence that could prove otherwise. Many alternative medicine practitioners believe that cleansing colons reduces the occurrence of diseases and improves general health. Things that a colon cleansing can most definitely get rid of are as follows:
1.Hardened waste accumulated on the walls of the intestine.
2.Fecal matter that is left as a residue in the intestine and hardened over time.
3.Parasitic and pathogenic gut flora.
4.Bad toxic substances that are harming your digestive rhythm.
5.Harmful and malicious bacteria.
6.Other such waste.
The benefits you receive from this treatment are diverse and although are not supported by scientific evidence but people do attribute the colon cleansing techniques to a generally healthy life. You will feel much lighter; forgive the pun. Plus, your body feels revitalized. Some instances of its usage have shown exceptional increase in focused concentration and improved vision and skin and increase in hair growth.Colon cleaning doesn’t always require you to go for expensive treatments like Enema. It can be done virtually anywhere. You can do the following to clean your guts effectively.
1.Drink lots of water every day. Water helps in clearing your guts and cleanses your colon. About 8 – 10 glasses of water might help.
2.Eating fresh yogurt can help as it introduces healthy bacteria in your guts, effectively getting rid of the harmful bacteria and parasites in your guts.
3.Eating whole-meal food usually helps: If you eat a high-fiber diet, which can come from your whole-meal breakfast or eating bananas, it would help with bowel movements. Eating raw fruits and vegetables and drinking fruit juices also helps.
4.Avoid eating more meat. Meat has less to no fiber in it and it just slows down the movement of your bowels within the intestines hence risking the accumulation of fecal waste on your intestinal tract.
