Facilitating small groups or a class is a honor. It means that someone of higher authority trusts you with a group of people. From facilitating marriage series like Homebuilders to Fireproof here are some tips if you plan on facilitating.  Know what you are talking about. Do your homework on the subject or the material that you are given. When you do the necessary homework, it gets in your brain therefore makes the material easier to read when the class starts. After studying the material, do you have any expertise on the subject that your teaching? Extra wisdom on the subject is always a plus. Talk it over to the team leader just to make sure that the two of you are on the same page. It takes teamwork to make the dream work.

During the class, keep track of time. Some people are long winded so you have to politely stop them and move on to the next subject. Let people comment and bring ideas during the classes. Let the people know that you value their feedback and give some of your personal testimony away to let people feel that they are a part of the group. Then the people would feel free to share or talk about certain issues of their own. Get snacks and drinks for your class so the people will feel the comfort. Soft music also helps too.
