Do you find it hard to meet new people and develop relations? Check out ways to meet new people and live a confident life.
Gagan and Jiya met online. Later they realised that they were in the same school and shared many things in common. Gagan asked Jiya out on a date and she agreed. Gagan realised that Jiya is the one for him. He proposed her and they started dating. There are many people out there whose relationships have blossomed like this. Meeting new people and falling in love with the right person is not hard if you follow some simple rules. It is true that love just happens but would you not be happy to take some efforts to welcome it when it knocks on your door?
Get to know people
The first thing you have to do to get to know new people is to get out of your comfort zone. Step out of the house, be visible in chat rooms, join most happening social networking websites and join some social group or activity club. If you think that you are single and ready to mingle then strike a conversation with new people and get to know them. You might end up developing a relationship with someone interesting.
Be a good listener
Sometimes silence is golden than spoken words. Developing a new relationship is quite easy if you are a good listener. A good listener is one who shows interest in others lives. Being a good listener is one of the most important communication skills. How many times you really understand what the other person is saying? Listen, interpret and absorb the meaning behind the words uttered by another person. You can put forward your true feelings if you are concentrating on what the other person is saying.
Be yourself
If you will pretend to be someone you are not, you will find it hard to be happy. 'Being yourself' is the formula to develop a new relationship or nurturing an existing relationship. The day you will tell yourself that 'I am what I am’ you can successfully handle every relationship. Do you agree to go for a particular movie just because your friends are going? Are you really interested in watching that movie? Being yourself is nothing but highlighting your true individuality.
Be confident
You do not have to be Einstein to be confident. Being confident is accepting compliments gracefully with a smile or thank you. Being confident is maintaining eye to eye contact while interacting with people. Being confident is being passionate and showing your talents. Being confidence is doing what you like to do. You do not want to find an interesting date just for the heck of it. You really mean it.
Do not rush into a relationship
Are you trying to cope-up with a break-up? Are you a single parent? Are you single and bored? Do you want a boyfriend as all your friends have one? Do you want a girlfriend just to make sure that backseat of your motorbike should not be vacant? Ask yourself why I want to be in a relationship? What will I get from this relationship? Am I ready to be in a relationship? If you are certain that you want to be in a relationship then go for it. You might need to pop up the question soon.
Places to meet new people
Explore the places in the city you dwell in, stopover a new shopping mall that is flooding with people, a museum or a book club. Join some social club where you can find people who can share your interests and hobbies. Do not neglect an invitation of a school or college reunion party. You might bump into your old crush. Grow your social network on social networking websites. Take part in volunteering for some social cause and meet new people. You can start meeting interesting people by joining yoga or tai chi class or else be an early riser. Hit the jogging track across the lane. You will end up interacting with a variety of people.
Being single is not that bad
If you dream of a perfect guy or a perfect girl in your life, first you need to enjoy your solitude. You are not unhappy to be single, are you? You need not feel like an alien to see a couple coochie cooing down the lane. You need not feel left out just because you are not committed but single. Consider yourself lucky that you do not need to brainstorm your mind on how to impress your girlfriend. Enjoy being single, flirt a little and show some chivalry towards the fairer sex and who knows you will meet your dream girl next moment. In case of single women, do not lose hope. Your Mr. Right will be waiting for you somewhere. When he shows up, just catch and keep him for good.
Look good, feel good
Look good and you will feel good about yourself. If you think that you are not happy with your weight learn to stay thin. How about going on an Atkins diet? Try hard to get into shape. Get a new hair cut. Find out the hair style that will suit your face. Add some ravishing outfits to your collection. Go for hair coloring or highlighting. A complete makeover will help you start the hunt for that special someone all over again. Your new look may make someone go crazy about you.
Mother Teresa has described the core of love in few simple lines, 'Smile at each other, smile at your wife, smile at your husband, smile at your children, smile at each other, it doesn't matter who it is and that will help you to grow up in greater love for each other.' Any relationship nurtured with care, passion and a smile will last forever. Do not keep expectations while getting to know new people. Give your best to the relationship and rest will follow. So leave that chair, make a move and get going to meet new people.
