ArticleIncome.com Review

Aug 12th, 2009 by UmiNoor

I joined articleincome.com to see if I can really make money writing. This is a review of the site after I joined about 2 months ago.

If you love writing then why not get paid doing something that you love? I joined ArticleIncome.com - a site that pays you to write by sharing with you revenues earned from Adsense ads displayed alongside articles you've written. The site doesn't pay you. Google does. Therefore, you will need to have an Adsense account to participate in the revenue-sharing. If you don't have an Adsense account, you can easily apply from Google. it's free to sign up for an account but you must have either a website or a blog with more than 10 postings at least.

There are 5 membership levels - bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond. What this levels imply is that your percentage of revenue share depends on your membership level with diamond having 75% share and bronze at 50%. This means that your Adsense ads will rotate with the site's Adsense ads 75% of the time if you're at the diamond level which means that for every 100 page impressions of your article, your Adsense ads will appear 75 times.

How do you get promoted from one level to the other? There are several ways. One way is to rate an article which will give you 3 points and if you leave a comment, you'll be awarded another 12 points. When you complete your profile, you'll get 50 points once only. Invite a friend who join ArticleIncome.com will get you another 25 points and a submitted article which is accepted and published will give you 50 points. To get to Silver, you'll need to accumulate 500 points, gold - 2000 points, platinum - 5000 points and diamond - 10000 points. What do you get as you upgrade from one level to the other? Other than an increase in revenue-sharing percentage, you'll also get to submit more articles that you have published on other sites. There are no limit to the number of original articles that you can submit.

The earnings here will not make you rich. Just like writing at Bukisa, the more you write, the more you'll earn. Some might say, why not write at your own blog and receive 100% of your Adsense income. But does your blog have the same traffic as the pay to write site? Adsense income depends very much on traffic. At ArticleIncome.com, they have several partnered blogs where they display your articles so your articles get a lot of exposure. If you've written a keyword rich article that a lot of people search for, your article will get its deserved exposure and that means money in the bank.

The site also has a page for featured and recent articles. When you submit your article to the site, you'll get the maximum exposure since everyone can view it at the recent articles page which display 20 articles.

How can you be certain that the site will display your Adsense ads? You can check your Adsense analytics and add ArticleIncome.com to your Adsense channels. This way you can see how many times your ads have been displayed. The site also provides stats to show you how many times your articles have been viewed.

One of the shortcomings to this site is it doesn't allow you to put any links at all in your articles; not even one that links to your other articles at the site. Unlike Bukisa which allows you to place links in your articles that link to other articles. This way you can create a chain.

However, If you join ArticleIncome.com, you can have another stream of income coming from Adsense without having to maintain a blog or website. You can also make a comparison whether per 1000 impressions (as in Bukisa) or Adsense revenue (as in articleincome) works better. Read my article Bukisa vs ArticleIncome.com where I've compared the two sites.
