This skin-reddening, itchy condition doesn’t have to take a hundred-dollars-a-tube treatment. Add this supplement to the diet and do this logical thing.

This condition is a problem with glands not producing oils, leaving the skin red and itchy in blotches. Often on the scalp and face it can attack in other places where a person might produce oils or sweat, such as under the breasts and the genital area.   Embarrassing no matter where it strikes, eczema is a common condition that is often treated with Elodil cream. This cream runs a hundred bucks a pop and that estimate is an old figure.   Inflation may have driven that price up.

The condition can start at any time in life.  Teenagers can have it and it has the earmarks of a viral infection or bacteria that starts a pattern of red skin that flakes in an oily spot like beside the nose.  Left untreated as a non-life-threatening condition, it can get worse until it is a serious problem in a society where looks matter a lot. By old age it can dominate the scalp and face.

Another problem with getting a correct treatment is that the flakes can be mistaken for dandruff.  Shampoos will clean it up for the moment but are not cures.  Even with a diagnosis, there is no cure that a doctor will admit to.  The treatment that used to be standard before the steroid were employed, was a cream with cortisone in it.  This isn’t a bank-buster but is a prescription item in enough strength to be effective for a while.  It has to be reapplied often to keep the rash-like symptoms under control. Further, the cream was cautioned against to use in excess by the pharmacist who sold the prescription to the sufferer.   The skin the next day is flakier than ever with this treatment. Hardly a good procedure to calm the symptoms.

It has come to our attention that four capsules of fish oils taken for high blood pressure, 1000 MG daily, helped reduce the severity of the out breaks. It also helped to wash the hair at least every other day to keep the rash off the face.

Having found a bargain in 1200 MG capsules of fish oils, taking four of them daily made the rash less virulent.  Also, when the flakiness on the skin appeared, a coating of Vitamin E oil (400 IU capsules) made the skin normal colored and soft again. The Vitamin E oil was a superior treatment.  And we are told the liquid foundation one might use, it will glide on nicely with the Vitamin E as a moisturizer.

The three pronged attack should control this condition better than a prescription: fish oils daily and clean hair as a regular routine, and Vitamin E for topical treatments if flakes occur. A healthy diet can’t hurt because the water content of the fruits and vegetables we ought to consume daily helps flush toxins and by-products of metabolism out of the blood stream so healthy nutrients get to the skin. * * *
