The size of the table is usually 84" by 42”, i.e 7ft by 3 1/2ft or 2100mm by 1050mm. The table comes with the setting for 8 and 10 players. The surface of the table is made of MDF with high density foam, with vinyl covering, rubber or faux gaming suede.

The table should have smooth covering. Smooth covering will make your play easy. It should be soft and should be able to support the pile of chips.

Description of three different types of tables is given below:

Table top:

This is basically for beginners. It is just a table top which can be placed over any kind of table. Its main disadvantage is that it cannot be fixed and can affect your game because it keeps on sliding over the table. One way of avoiding this is that you can fix it over the table by placing the weights at the corners of the top. Another option of avoiding this problem is to find a table whose size is similar to the size of the table top. It is the cheapest one to buy and is available in the markets very easily. Another good thing about it is that it can be packed when it’s not being used by anyone and you don’t need to buy a new table, an existing table will do your work.

Fold away:

The second type is fold away. Its price is between the other two tables. It can be folded and kept anywhere. Also it does not take much space. You can unfold it when you want to play. One disadvantage is that its legs are unstable and can disturb while you are playing the game. It is the best available option for people living in apartments or where children are used of running from one corner of the house to the other corner. It is less expensive than the Solid Construction.

Solid Construction:

The third and the last type is the solid construction. It is a fix one and cannot be moved from one place to another. It is the best way of experiencing the real home Poker.  It requires more space and takes more space than the other two tables. The legs of the table are not attached and are attached where it will be fixed. This element makes it the most reliable one among the three options available. Its disadvantage is that it is quite expensive than the other two and it requires more space.

These are the options available for the poker lovers. Pick the one that meet your needs. Have Fun!
