How to create your own web site for FREE. Part One: Contents creation

Hi friends.Do you know that a  dinosaur can be kept in the fridge ? Pretty simple.Just three steps.Open the fidge door, put the dinosaur inside and, shut the door .(ha!).Likewise, I would say that for creating the web site, the steps are:Plan, Do, Check & Act.

1.Plan :

a.Objective of the web site: Why do you want to have this web site ? It is for whom ?

This is a starting question so as to arrive at the objective of the web site.Are you going to use this web site as a personal web page for sharing your hobbies, interests ,passions or it is just to compile your own achievements ? Or is it going to be a mouth piece of your business ?

It shall also be worth while to ask questions about the target audience.The country, the language spoken, culture and the level of awareness in the particular topic ( for example, this article I am writing for the English speaking persons, either gender, who are new to the web development but are curious and energetic enough to venture into this experience .)

A well thought objective clears the path for the further steps in planning .

b.Contents of the web site: Content is  actually seen,read or experienced by the visitors .Content can be text,pictures,video,audio files ,gadgets etc.A gadget is a ready made web device which is installed on the web site to achieve certain purpose.Purpose could be either capturing ,storing certain information from the user or it is purely for the entertainment.For example, a simple gadget is a " clock" .Another gadget could be a fortune telling device, which when provided with the birth date, instantly tells the fortune of the day" There are literally hundreds of gadgets freely available across the web.

Remember: Contents are not created over night.It is a result of a series of thinking,rejecting,modifying .The content is just like the first speech delivered by you.You keep on thinking about the speech well ahead of the time.Like that, keep on compiling various content material over days.

Tip: Create a MS Word or Excel file on your desk top & store all the content material .It is easier.Rather than thinking all from scratch exactly on the day you are making your web site.
