This will teach you how to lay a sod lawn.

If you are thinking of growing up your own lawn then the best way for that is to use sod which easy to use but it will need some hard work. Well sod is just a form of grass which is rolled and you don’t have to grow but rather it is like a carpet it seems to be very a beautiful grass.

Sod is used for many purposes like lawns and it is also used in sports grounds. When we hear people that they want to make and start their own lawn then people always think what will be better for them. Will they use seeds or will they use sod or turf as it is called in the UK.

Well even though seeding is a good thing but people prefer sod over seeding and there are a few reasons for that and one reason is that when you put seeds in the soil then there is a risk that they might get eroded or they might get spoilt but sod doesn’t have any such risks of soil erosion as it is a readymade grass which cannot be eroded.

Even though sod is used more and it is better than seeding but it has one disadvantage and that is just the expense from it. It is really expensive. The price of sod is something which varies in all different countries. The price usually depends on the country and the climate where you are living. If you need to put a sod lawn then you can do the following.

The best time of the year to lay sod is the time of either fall or spring as at those times the moisture content in the year will not be too much and your lawn will yield best results. Before putting the sod in your soil you need to make the soil fertile and completely enriched so that when you put the sod then your grass will grow well and then your lawn will look very beautiful and healthy

. Before you put the sod on your soil to make a lawn just make the soil wet so that when you put the sod then it does get the right amount of water that it needs to have. When you put the first roll be careful and put it straight after that when you start to put the second one then make sure that both roles meet end to end because then only your lawn will look like it has got real and good grass.

After you have completed the process of putting sod on your soil then there is one step which is left and that is to press your sod so that there is no contact which is left between the soil and the sod. Now after you have done that then you just need the sod to take its time and till 2 to 3 days don’t walk on the sod and after 3 days have passed then start to water your sod nicely. You will now see how beautiful your lawn will look.
