Nokia 3720 - Safety First!

its been a long while since Nokia released its previous dust and water resistant phone the Nokia 5500 sport. The Nokia 3720 is a vast improvement on the Nokia 5500 sport and in fact coming with an IP54 certificate.An IP rating is an international that specifies the level of weather-proofing of any product.The first number of this certificate 5 signifies the phone is protected from foreign objects, indicating that whilst some tiny particles of dust may find entry into the handset, they will in no way impede the operation of the phone.The second number of 4 supports the fact that the handset is splash resistant.

Ok, so we can see that the Nokia 3720 is robust and can take care of itself in usually precarious situations other handsets let themselves down in. So lets now take a look at what the phone is loaded with and its specifications:

LOOKS and SIZE:

Weighing 94g with dimensions of 115 x 47 x 15.3mm this handset is pleasant and accommodating to the hand.However its not a new eye catching design and is clearly based on the look of the Nokia S40 device available in-box colours of grey and yellow. Perhaps the best description for it would be "candybar" handset. The display screen size is 2.2 " with 320 x 240 pixels ( QVGA ) holding up to 16.7 million colours.

CAMERA and MUSIC:

Comes with a 2 megaixel camera ( 1600 x 1200 pixels ), 4 x digital zoom, LED flash, full-screen viewfinder with portrait and landscape orientation.Nothing sophisticated there, but surely adequate enough in our opinion. Any budding David Baileys need not apply!

Music player with playback file formats: MP3, MP4, WMA, AAC, AAC +, eAAC+ Stereo FM radio, 2.5 mm Nokia AV connector and dedicated volume keys.

The Nokia 3720 has an excellent battery. Standby time is up to 450 hours with talk time up to 7 hours and music playback time of 14 hours.

CONCLUSION:

A dependable durable phone aimed at the lower market for people who want dependability,safety and a phone to primarily make and receive calls. A nicely priced gadget in our opinion especially for the clumsy ones amongst us. Pleasant looks, nice size and weight make this handset a nice and easy addition to the pocket or wherever you decide to keep it. No need to worry about Nokia 3270. This baby takes care of herself.
