Ever since Jackson became a megastar, the media has wanted to “reveal” the “real” Michael Jackson, attempting to tarnish his image for whatever vain reason. Every attempt was made to ruin Jackson’s career: reports of a “relationship” between Jackson and his chimpanzee, Bubbles; the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, in which Jackson supposedly slept; the “unusual” menagerie and “oddities” of Neverland Ranch that "resembled a circus"; the offer “Wacko Jacko” made to purchase the bones of Joseph Merrick, also known as the Elephant Man; the “questionable” relationships with Emanuel Lewis and children, both of celebrity and regular stature; the child-like behavior; and the list goes on, unfortunately. Nonetheless, these widely concocted stories could not destroy Jackson’s image. The love people held for Jackson in their hearts outweighed the negativity, which eventually forced the media to pursue more extreme measures, at which Jackson could be exploited and his career damaged.

Jackson once said:

“Why not just tell people I’m an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They’ll believe anything you say, because you’re a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, “I’m an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight,” people would say, “Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He’s cracked up. You can’t believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.”

This statement clearly displays no matter how outlandish the media’s portrayal of Jackson was, people believed the stories because they were being reported by the media: an "informative," "reputable" source that prides itself on practicing "integrity".  However, many media sources fail to publish credible stories. As long as ratings increase, it doesn’t matter whether the story was written with integrity or if it will improve the world.

Eventually, Jackson’s generosity, love for, and closeness with children would become his weakness, as the media and others who preyed on him, created a farce centering on Jackson and molestation allegations.

In my heart and mind, Jackson did not molest any children. If a woman slept in a bed with children, would they call her a child molester? Probably not. A woman could molest children while sleeping in her bed, but because she is a woman, the public would probably think it was one big slumber party, particularly because women are presumed to be “motherly” and therefore, "nurturing" by nature. However, because it was a man, and most importantly, the most successful black man in the world, he must be a pedophile.
