Becoming a good negotiator, to get a nice deal, is not difficult. Negotiating with car dealers with "car speaks" attitude is very difficult. You have to be clever to get success in your bargain.

As you might have an idea about calculating your offer and knowing what dealer paid for the vehicle too, so better get familiar with paper work and try to familiarize with any recent paperwork of car dealership.

Basic point is not to stay in a dealership long enough to give salesperson a chance to increase charges through any loop holes.

Following are few tips that would help you to negotiate car dealing efficiently:

1-      Be confident and think positively.

2-      Never underestimate your opponent.

3-      Show your willingness to deal with anything coming in your way.

4-      For an extra edge bring advertisements from other dealers.

5-      Financing your loan before coming to dealership saves you from paying additional fees.

6-      Friends provide additional support.

7-      Beware of sales persons performing small tricks, asking you to rush into buying a vehicle without further inquiries. This causes you to lose extra money to them, so better watch out statements like these from the sales persons.

"All of these cars are not going to stay for long time in the lot. So tomorrow it might not be accessible for the similar deal". (Now   they'll calm down if you'll begin to walk towards exit door)

"I sold many cars in this week, I'm a truthful person. (Inform him that he doesn't require your money then)

"I really don't like to notify you this but there is another person who is interested and is keen to give more amount than you. I am only waiting for the completion of his papers work. (So ask them then why they are presenting this car in front of you if it is already sold?)

"I had to cover some repairing expenditures of this car for that I paid 13,000 dollars. (By inquiring their papers you could prove them false)

Always negotiate from the dealer's cost up and not from the MSRP down.

8-     Remember dealer's cost is different from factory invoice.

9-     Don't waste time on dealerships not wanting to negotiate even on your opening price and try other dealerships.

10- Try to get a firm negotiating stance with the help of your knowledge in front of dealers who don't want to negotiate to get extra money for MSRP.

11- Sometimes dealers offer little bit off from MSRP and propose monthly payments, don't go for it as this will cost you more, and tell them you want to negotiate on even division for car not for monthly payments.

12- Never tell your payment methods to finance managers, before making a purchase decision; it will only help them to devise better strategies to screw you over.

13- Many dealers offer a better deal if you let them finance your car, but usually stay away from it and don't become a buyer working on impulses. Dealers love such buyers as these are their easy victims and can give them extra money as much as $10,000.

14- Don’t fell in for "hot" cars, although their MSRP is always low but these are expensive when it comes to monthly payment and extras. Don't forget, its value would be depreciating from factory invoice.
