How to Increase your Scrabble Score QUICKLY! - for beginners

It takes just one day to get significantly better at Scrabble! By following these three steps - you'll be a better player very soon.

Instructions Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    MEMORIZE the two letter words. There are 101 of them.

    AA, AB, AD, AE, AG, AH, AI, AL, AM, AN, AR, AS, AT, AW, AX, AY
    BA, BE, BI, BO, BY
    DE, DO
    ED, EF, EH, EL, EM, EN, ER, ES, ET, EX
    FA, FE
    GO
    HA, HE, HI, HM, HO
    ID, IF, IN, IS, IT
    JO
    KA, KI
    LA, LI, LO
    MA, ME, MI, MM, MO, MU, MY
    NA, NE, NO, NU
    OD, OE, OF, OH, OI, OM, ON, OP, OR, OS, OW, OX, OY
    PA, PE, PI
    QI
    RE
    SH, SI, SO
    TA, TI, TO
    UH, UM, UN, UP, US, UT
    WE, WO
    XI, XU
    YA, YE, YO
    ZA

    Print the list out. Make index cards for each letter. You will have 26 cards because NO 2 letter words start with "c" or "v".

    Go through your cards repeating the letter combinations out loud. A-A, A-B etc.

  2. Step 2

    MEMORIZE the "Q without U" words. There are 24 of them. Make a card for each. Pretend you're back in grammar school. 'Say them - spell them - say them'. Until you have all 24 down.

    By knowing these 124 words (Qi is repeated), you will be able to beat most beginning Scrabble players!
