Capri’s are a good choice because they come in petite cuts that keep every thing in proportion. Women who are larger but have extremely long and fit legs may want to try some shorter options.

Many plus sized girls and women dread the summer months. You feel like your being exposed in a way that does not accentuate your best assets by having to wear more revealing clothing. Bathing suits and shorts are difficult for you to find that your feel truly good. If you don't swim you will still be wearing shots in the warmer months to feel comfortable.  There are now available flattering shorts and swim wear for all the glorious variations of the plus sized, figure.

Your best place to start is the main stream retailers of plus sized fashion. They really focus on keeping up with the fashion trends and have concentrated on making attractive plus sized clothing. You will also have a larger selection of plus sized summer wear to choose from then you will from many other retailers. Some of the best places to look for plus sized short are as Lane Bryant, Avenue, and Torrid. If you use a bigger department store for your clothes shopping you might want to try the section that sell plus sized juniors to get the latest shorts and swimmer fashions.

Most of us know the best way to judge if something is attractive before we buy it is to try it on. Still, so of us skip this step because we are self-conscious about our body size. You need to understand it is one thing to look silly in a dressing room that has the surrounding full length mirror you can fully view the garment with; it is another to look silly wearing it at the beach. I do not have a dressing room at home to get a really good back view of a pair of shorts. I may think, they look good from the front and miss the huge fashion blooper I am making. It would be evident in the back and side view of the garment

Length is something that should be considered. Short legged plus size women will want to stick to shorts that fall slightly below the knee.  Capri pants are a good choice because they come in petite cuts that keep everything in proportion. Women who are larger but have extremely long and fit legs may want to try some shorter options. Again, getting the viewpoint in the dressing room can help you find the most attractive length and cut of plus sized shorts and Capri pants.

Most plus sized women will find that flat paneled shorts with no pleats are the most attractive. Solid colors and avoiding excessive design elements will give you that crisp steam lined look.  Pleats are avoided because they can give the appearance of extra bulk. Again, if you have a long waist plus sized women pleats may work for you so be sure to check the side view of a pair of pleated shorts when you try it on.

You can these days find sexy and fun summer wear in your size. You can keep up with fashion trends and not dread those sunny summer days at the park or beach. All it takes is a little of effort on your part to find the summer fashions that look good in the magazine and on you.
