Yeah ...! It's already July! in a moment you'll have to fill in form after form to get into college. Have you decided which one you want to enter? Or what major you'll be studying? If you haven't or just need some thinking first, here are some tips for you.

In a moment you will have to fill in form after form to get into college. have you decided which one you want to enter? Or what major you will be studying? If you have not or just need some thinking first, here are some tips for you.

1. Know what really interest you

The first thing to know is what really interest you, what your talents are. You will be spending four to six years in college, so you don't wanna be bored to death in the first semester, right? Consider taking an aptitude test if you're really clueless.

2. Ask around

Always ask around from other university students about the majors available at their college. hey! it is the 21st century. Your options are not limited only to medicine or economics. There is advertising, environment technology, and many more. Just find one that suits you.

3. Browse for Universities

next, browse for the college. Some colleges are better known for the students' active participation, other are known for their research. Log on to the Internet and find a complete list of Universities websites or go directly to the admission office of your desired college.

4. Prepare for the Test

Ask about the entrance test. Some majors require a special test. You might be asked to make drawings if you're applying for a graphic-design major or present a dance number if you are planning to take dancing as major. Be ready to knock them out!

5. A future Job?

With your chosen major in mind, find out about your future possibilities in the work place. This will help you a lot, especially if you are planning to take a part-time job during college. And you won't be feeling so out of touch once you are graduated.

6. Study Hard

The final thing to do is study real hard. If you are targetting the bonafide university, you can join one of the many study guide institutes. They'll drill you in recognizing and answering different questions quickly and correctly.

No one knows you better than yourself. Get as much advice as you can, but in the end it is up to you to make the decision. Remember, it is for your future.

Great article Micheal. Well written and to the point. This is what I should have read before applying.

I've got bachelor degree in Biology, but I'm enjoying my work at home activity and earn just like my friends who work in science field. I wish I read your post earlier and choose IT as my major ... sigh ...
