Sometimes your access to some of the websites are restricted or blocked. There are lots of ways to solve this problem, such as using web proxy or VPN. I will introduce another way here by using Google Translator as a proxy and access the restricted sites.

As you probably know, Google is more than a search engine; it provides a lot of services such as Gmail, news, mapping, etc. One of these services is Google Translator, which can also be used as a proxy. What a proxy does is to receive data from a requested site and forward it to you. By this way, the site can only see the requests coming from the proxy, but not from you.

What you have to do is to type in your target URL into the Google Translator and remember translate it to English (if it is an English website). Then you will get the translated page from any language to English. As the site is already in English, nothing will be changed in the translated page. The result is that your connection is redirected from google.com, so the page won’t be blocked.

Remember this trick lets you see the restricted pages but doesn’t hide your IP address. You can check your IP address and track the location of your IP address here.

To hide your IP address and browse the web safely and anonymously, you can try the web proxy services or the free VPN services such as UltraVPN, Alonweb, CyberGhost and Hotspot Shield, but from time to time the free services come and go, as that was the case for AlwaysVPN and Relakks. You can also try the free hide IP tool, Tor or NotMyIP.
