Delicious, But lowfat and low calorie desserts!

If you want a good desert that isn't too overboard of calories and carbs, then this article should help you! This also shows how the recipes!

Low Fat Fruit Dessert:

2 (8oz) of light cream cheese.

1 (16oz) Can lite fruit cocktail

1(16oz) of canned pineapple

1 (16oz) of canned peaches

1/2 jar of maraschino cherries, cut in half

1 (8oz) of light cool whip

1 cup of powdered sugar

Beat cream cheese with the sugar in a mixer. Stir in defrosted Cool Whip and well drained fruits. Then Refridgerate and enjoy your low calorie dessert!

Biscotti

1-1/2 cup yellow cornmeal

1-1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

9 tablespoons of low fat spread

3/4 cup sultanas

2 eggs, beaten grated zest of 1 lemon or orange

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons water


Pre-heat oven to 325 F. Mix together the cornmeal and flour and then rub in the spread until the mixture resembles bread crumbs. You could do this in a food processor, but you will have to transfer to a bowl before adding the fruit and zest. Beat in the eggs, vanilla and water. Divide the dough into three parts and make these into long log shapes, about 8 inches long and 2-3 inches across. Place these on a non-stickĀ  and bake for 20 minutes. Let them cool for a few minutes and then slice diagonally into 3/4 inch pieces. Place these cut surface down back on baking trays. These are then baked further for 5 minutes, before turning over for a further 5 minutes. Let them cool on racks and then eat and enjoy!

Low Calorie Apple Dessert

Toast 1 slice bread with 1 teaspoon butter. Cook in microwave 3/4 cup sliced apples with cinnamon. Place on toast and add 1 package Equal Sweetener. May add slice of cheese and microwave until melted.

Low Fat Lime Dessert

1 package of low fat Jello (Lime)

2 cups of crushed pineapple (With the juice)

1 1/2 cups of buttermilk

2 packages of sweetener

1/2 cup of cool whip

Mix Jello, pineapple, and then heat until jello is dissovled. Add buttermilk, and sweetener, and stir until blended. Fold in Cool Whip. Pour into a 8 x 8in pan. Chill until set. And then eat up! It makes 4 servings, which are only 20 calories each!

Low Calorie Pistatio Dessert

1 package of instant pistatio pudding

1 can of crushed pineapple (16oz)

2 low fat plain yogurt. (8oz)

Mix all of the ingrediants into a bowl and pop it into the fridge! And before you know it, it'll be done and ready to eat.
