In August 1926, Julián Slim Helú and Linda were married in Mexico City. Four years later their first born daughter, Nour, two years after Alma, and then later born José Julián, Carlos and Linda.
Thanks to their intelligence and tenacity at work, Don Julián Slim Haddad became a prominent businessman and exemplary father, who instill in their children both moral values and dedication and knowledge to work.

Mr. Slim remains in business even though its main effort and work are focused on education, health and employment in Mexico and throughout Latin America, through the presiding Foundations and companies listed in the areas of infrastructure, and their three sons: Carlos, Marco Antonio and Patrick Slim Domit, have taken the reins of their businesses.
Mr. Slim has developed educational activities in public and private institutions, as well as international bodies such as the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLA).
He was a member of the Boards of Directors of Altria (formerly Philip Morris Companies) and SBC Communications Counsel, Inc., a position from which it withdrew in 2004 to devote more time to the project Impulsora for Development and Employment in Latin America, IDEAL, with emphasis on infrastructure work, health and education, among the most important.
He was also Vice President of the Mexican Stock Exchange and President of the Mexican Association of Brokerage Houses. It was the first president of the Latin American Council of Trustees of the Stock Exchange of New York.
Carlos Slim Helú and his wife, Soumaya Domit Slim (RIP) had six children: Carlos, Marco Antonio, Patrick, Soumaya, Vanessa and Johanna.
Slim is the engineer and passionate lover of history, art and nature, it is a big baseball fan, the sport which he has written several articles.
On December 16, 2008, Carlos Slim Helú engineer is appointed to the Board of the RAND Corporation (Research and Development), a research nonprofit United States, offering advice and solutions around the world, on matters of politics and trade, among other topics.

"
