Looking for a way to increase your BlackBerry’s battery life?

I believe that most of the smart phone user suffer about the battery life. Here is some step i have tested and worked. Hope it can help on your smart phone battery life.

Turn off GPS is one of the solution to save your battery life.

If you are not using GPS, please simply switch it over to E911.

Here is the step switch GPS to E911.

1. Select Option

2. Select Advanced Options

3. Select GPS Services

4. Select the option from GPS to E911.

Very Simple step.

Set screen brightness to lowest setting.

Why need to lower down backlight level?

Let me explain, a super bright backlight on your Blackberry Storm may bring out the most vibrant colors so it drain battery life extremely quickly. To prevent battery life drain so fast, please refer to the following step,

1. Select Option

2. Select Keyboard / Screen

3. Select backlight

4. Set the darkness as low as. ( You set the it accordingly as you like). But remember don't set to high.

Change Network to 1xEV from Global

Why need change Netowork to 1xEV?

Because, smarth phone is automatically set to accept global connections and however the constant searching for networks can lead to more battery drain. Please refer to the following step,

1. Select Options

2. Selec Mobile Network

3. Select Network Technology

4. Select 1xEV.

Here is the additional way to extend batery life,

1. Turn off TrackBall clicking.

2. Set BlackBerry to automatically turn off at night for a short amount of time.

3. Delete old messages and phone call logs (more memory more battery usage…I think).

4. Delete Application that not using.

Lastly, please put smart phone in the holster as this will power off the LCD screen to conserve power.
