My take on Entenmanns Softee Cinnamon Donuts

This is my impression of Entenmanns Softee Cinnamon Donuts and how they have affected my purchasing habits.

As I've shopped the bread aisle, I’ve passed the display for Entenmann’s products many times over the years.  I've been curious, but I hadn't purchased any of their bread and pastry line until sometime back when I was intrigued by a package of their Cinnamon Donuts.  It was on sale, so I decided to take a chance and purchase a 10 ounce Entenmanns Softee Cinnamon Donuts.

While this was a fresh package, I was utterly disappointed and disenchanted by this item.  Though the cinnamon taste was right on, giving me a superb cinnamon flavor in my mouth, the donuts themselves were very mushy, almost as it wet.  Soft donuts are wonderful, but these were just horrid.  Holding one was distasteful.  It was like slime in my hands, and that just wasn't a pleasant thing at all.

On the plus side, I liked the size of the donut, the after taste, and the actual cinnamon flavor.  Unfortunately, with the texture being so disgusting, the plus elements just aren't strong enough to override the squishiness.

Entenmann's packaging is eye catching and it was simple to open.  On the other hand, it features a re-closeable tab seal that you lift off partially and then replace on the fold. I'm not fond of these because they seldom stay secured.  This prevents the product from staying fresh once you open them.

As a result of this negative experience, I haven't purchased another Entenmann's product, and I don't see myself doing so in the future.  It was just too mushy for my liking.
