I provide you two method to shut down your computer fastly, hopw it will help you

When we try to shut down in Windows XP, we often find that it takes much time to shut down. The reason behind this is that Windows XP tries its best to shutdown all the programs perfectly before shutting down and so a specific amount of time is alloted for this. We can reduce this time so that the shut down is faster than normal. Here is the guide on how to do it :-
No 1
1. Click on the start button present on the task bar of windows XP, start menu will appear.
2. Click on Run present in the start menu, a Run dialogue box will appear.
3. In the Open field present in run dialogue box, type in "Regedit" without brackets and then hit enter.
4. Now you need to expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, you will get a list of many underlisted directories.
5. Now you need to expand the SYSTEM, you will get a list of many underlisted directories.
6. Now you need to expand the CurrentControlSet, you will get a list of many underlisted directories.
7. Now you need to click on the Control. Remember not to expand it.
8. On the right side pane, double click on the WaitToKillServiceTimeout, edit string dialogue box will appear.
9. You need to replace the value data from 20000(default) to whatever you want. Maybe 5000 depending on your wish. (20000 = 20 seconds)
10. Click on Ok button, you are done.

Note - Do not change any other registry there as it may cause severe damage to your pc.

No:2

1. Open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete at the same time.

2. Then go to Shut Down -->Turn Off

3. Press Ctrl and click Turn Off button

4. And then, your Windows XP should switch off in 5 seconds!
