Holy Paladins aren't traditionally played in PvP in World of Warcraft, but who says it can't be done. With the right build and knowledge of your place and how you're going to be effective, you shouldn't have much of a problem surviving the player versus player encounters.

Let's run through the Holy Paladin Guide spec for World of Warcraft and learn how to swing it!

Tier 1:

Spiritual Focus will greatly increase your healing capabilities in the PvP Battlegrounds. This is very very important because that's the majority of what you'll be doing. Yeah, you might be chiming in for damage or tanking a little bit here or there, but you'll mostly be healing. And trust me, people love to go for the healer, as you probably already know. Well, this talent will give you a lot of resistance to pushback, making your heals nearly uninterruptable during the casting.

Tier 2:

Healing Light makes your Heals more powerful, so you get more bang for your buck! I'd recommend maxing this one out! Diving Intellect increases your Intellect by 15%, and that adds up to be a lot of mana. You'll need this because people don't often just have one fight to partake in during PvP, you might get ambushed, then immediately have to jump into the fray somewhere else. Your teammates need to you to have some longevity. Here is your chance to give it to them! Unyielding Faith will protect you from some Fear and Disorient spells. This means Death Coil, Fear, Intimidating Shout, Scatter Shot and more. An un-crowd controllable Paladin is an effective Paladin.

Tier 3:

Illumination is another talent that is going to improve your longevity greatly. When you critically heal somebody, you're going to get 60% of the mana that spell cost back to refresh you to do it again! This is a crazy good talent and this talent alone is why a lot of Paladin's choose Holy! It's also really fun for duels and frustrating for your opponents! Aura Mastery is a sick talent. It improves all of the effects of your Auras by 100%...enough said. Improved Lay on Hands has the ability to make whoever you cast it on an unstoppable crazy dreadnaught for a little while. It boosts their armor up so much that I'd like to see somebody get through them after this thing goes off.

Tier 4:

Improved Blessing of Wisdom gives you again...more longevity. With all of these talents combined, you're going to be a mana machine. You also wear Plate. People literally will give up trying to kill you because it just takes such a long time, if you don't kill them first. Tier 4 is where you really start to become an unstoppable healing during World of Warcraft PvP.

Tier 5:

Divine Favor gives you an instant critical heal on your next heal spell. This also stacks with Illumination as well. Since it instantly crits, you're instantly going to be refunded 60% of that spells mana. Pretty sick huh? Pure of Heart reduces the effects of Diseases, Curses and Poisons. With all the Rogues and Warlocks running around, you'll be glad to be rid of these nuisances. This means no more crippling poison, no more curse of tongues, etc. Sanctified Light increases your healing and Holy Shock critical strike chance, thus triggering Illumination more often! Gotta love it right?

Tier 6:

Holy Power is simple enough. It increases your Holy spell critical chance by 5%. Again...Illumination for the win. It's also important to keep in mind that this includes your offensive Holy spells like Judgement, Holy Shock, etc.

Tier 7:

Holy Shock is a must. It can be used as damage or healing. It's an extremely efficient spell. You've already buffed it up with your previous talents, you may as well take it and use it, love it! Blessed Life gives you a 10% chance on each attack that hits you for that attack to cause 50% less damage. As if you even needed this. You already wear Plate and can heal through people beating on you. This just adds insult to injury for your opponent (that's why it's fun!)

Tier 8:

Holy Guidance giveas you 15% of your Intellect in Spellpower. This is good to being with, but do you remember getting Diving Intellect? The one that increases your Intellect by 15%? These two stack together, giving you even more mana and spellpower. They work together like a well oiled machine.

Tier 9:

Diving Illumination halves the cost of all of your healing spells for 15 seconds. This is great in a pinch, when you're affected by Viper Sting, etc. It's also good to have around just to use so you can be a little bit longer lasting too. I usually use it when it pops up, given that I'm not out of mana any time soon.

Tier 10:

Infusion of Lights makes your Holy Shock spell buff your heals. There's nothing better than making your offense give you a good defense just by using the spell! Enlightened Judgements increases your Judgement range by a heck of a lot and increases the chance to hit with them by 4%. Very good stuff. How many times have you wasted mana only for your judgment to be resisted? Not anymore!

Tier 11:

Beacon of Light is a buff you put on somebody, and when you heal any other person in your group, that person gets healed too. It's essentially like having two Paladins healing instead of just one. This is a tremendous spell. Use it and love it!
