Neopets Help – Free Newbie Guide to Restocking For Quick Neopoints

If you’re reading this, then I assume you’re one of those neopians who would rather forsake spending many long valuable hours playing games in favour of restocking shops as a means of making neopoints. Being a restocker myself, I advocate that notion wholeheartedly – restocking in my opinion, is the easiest way to get a hefty amount of neopoints in a short amount of time provided that you persevere through the whole restocking process(will be explained soon).

If you’re looking for a more general guide in making neopoints, please take a look at my other article :

There are three things that come into play in restocking : Your connection speed, luck, and reflex.

  • Connection Speed – You need this in order to load the page quickly and without which, you’d be more likely to stare at the dreaded “Something is SOLD OUT!” page. Most high speed broadband connection should be fine, although if you have T1 or even better, then it’d be so much easier. I’d stay away from restocking if I were to use 56k modem though – you won’t be able to compete with the others effectively. Although, I did manage to restock an item worth 1 million nps via 56k once, but I highly doubt it would ever happen again.
  • Luck – Well, as you might have already known, the shops in Neopia restock randomly – as in they don’t restock at a fixed time like they used to WAY back in the past. That means, you’ll have to refresh every now and then and hope that you would see a restock. Be forewarned though, NEVER EVER refresh too much or you’ll get banned from the shops for some time. Refresh often appropriately, and you will sooner or later(hopefully) stumble into a restock just in time.
  • Reflex – You have to have really fast fingers for this. Here’s what I do most of the time. The moment I see something good, I quickly click on it, press Space Bar(it substitutes the need to click the OK button),  quickly click on the price box, key in the price and quickly click on the appropriate neopets image. Requires a lot of practice but once you’ve grown accustomed to it, you’ll get better in no time. As a beginner, try haggling with recurring numbers, such as 5555, 4444 since it’s easier to type, which might mean the difference between you and that other person in getting that very item.

As a newbie, I would highly recommend the Pharmacy – restocking Herbal Scrambled Eggs and Medicinal Soups would be your main source of income. If you’re lucky enough though, you might even find yourself with Grumble Be Gone Tablet, Sporkle Syrup and Magic Goop which sell for even more! Once you think you’re ready for it, try the Magic Shop – this is where most neopians go to make easy neopoints but be forewarned yet again, the competition here is highly stiff, so good luck and keep on trying!
