When I heard that song played at Michael Jackson's memorial I wondered.. Do the people who are clapping at this song realize it is about Jesus Christ and NOT Michael Jackson?

When I heard that song played at Michael Jackson's Memorial service I wondered.. Do the people who are clapping at this song realize it's about Jesus Christ and NOT Michael Jackson? I'm sure there were many Christians  and others there that realized the song is about dying and seeing Jesus Christ but what about the other people who were there? There are so many athiests and agnostics and other sad groups that do not understand about life after death. I'm sure some of them have never heard that song before today. As soon as the words "Soon and very Soon We are Going to see the King" were sung some people at the memorial started cheering and clapping.. .Why? Did they think the "king" that was being sung about was Michael Jackson? Since he was so many times referred to as the "King of PoP" just as Elvis was also referred to as a "king" I do believe people thought the song being sung was ABOUT MICHEAL JACKSON. Well, folks, if you are reading this and also thought they were singing about Michael... WRONG! That is a beautiful song about dying and going to the after life to see the ONE AND ONLY TRUE KING  which is JESUS CHRIST. Just wanted to clarify that to those who thought otherwise.

I am very sad about Michael Jackson's death and Truly hope that the King of Pop is now with the KING OF KINGS.

For those of you who may disagree ...Well, my King, Jesus Christ who is the only true King is alive and poor Michael Jackson (the king of pop) is dead.

Yes, you're absolutely right... you CAN'T speak for everyone who watched the memorial.

Thank you for this comment. I can't speak for everyone who watched the memorial, but I can assure you that fans of the Jackson's are deeply aware of their faith(s) and the spiritual lives they all try/tried to live. Any confusion about which "King" was being referred to was only yours. It's sad that you're using faith in this manner.
