How to make quick RESTART shotrcut in windows xp.

Remember when we have no time we sometime just leave our computer runing and remember it just throw out you money for nothing. Now I will show you how to safe the energy by turn off your computer when you don't need it. with Windows XP you can create restart desktop shortcuts.

Remember when we have problem with our computer because of some program hang so we can't use the computer properlly and just make you mat. The only way to back to work is just to restart you computer and you will back to work.

with Windows XP you can create restart desktop shortcuts.

You can change icon and put these shortcuts anyplace you like on the desktop, the quick launch bar or in start menu.

  1. Right click on empty part of desktop and select  new than shortcut.
  2. When  a wizard appear  type in the question type the location of the item: SHUTDOWN -r-t 01 and click next
  3. Make the name of the shortcut you wish in the question type a name for this shortcut and click finish.
  4. Back again to desktop and right click  and chose property  in the shortcut you just created before.
  5. In the property box chose shortcut and click change icon, click OK when ‘’change icon’’ pop up. Just use arrow left or right to find what icon you like the best and click OK. Now you have shortcut for restart.

So whenever you want to restart your windows xp quick and easy one is just click one buttom and you finish your job with computer and don't have to worry if there some lose work or elecric stil runing on your computer or you just don't have to wait untill it shut down because for sure will turn off by it self. Next time I will sho you how to shutdown and hibrenate your windows xp system by using shortcut.
