Some basic tips to make you look brighter, and better for the beautiful weather. Some must-haves for any girl on the go, and some other tips to make life easier.

If I know one thing, it is that when summer comes around my makeup is all being replaced. With the hot sun and lots of activities going on you need a new routine, and new products.

Let's start with the face. When summer comes around I tend to leave the foundation and just work with a mineral concealer (I use Maybelline), and a loose powder (I switch between mac and L'oreal true match). However, if you are an avid user of foundation, I would suggest using a mineral one. The best thing about mineral makeup is they let the skin breathe, and won't clog your pores to produce those nasty devils called pimples. It is also great to always moisturize your face before applying makeup, especially if you have dry skin. I personally use viche moisturizer so it helps if you are prone to acne, while also giving your face a nice base for makeup.

For the eyes there's a simple, very nice trick I discovered and absolutely love. White eyeliner. It takes away the harshness of black liner, while seemingly opening your eyes so they look bigger. I think it softens up the whole eye and gives it a complete innocent bright look. If white eyesliner isn't for you though, you could also just try toning down the black a little and going towards a brown shade, or even playing around with colours like teal or green.

A really great substitute for a primer, that can range up to forty dollars, would be Monistat Chaffing Cream. It is really affordable and has a really good quality for the price. You could use it for your face or on your eyes on. Eyeshadows can be tons of fun in the summer, or you could totally skip this step for a more simple look. If you do use eyeshadow though, whether its pretty neutrals or outrageous bold colours, a primer will make it look a million times better.

Mascara, Lash Blast. It has been sworn by many makeup artists to be the best one around. I tried it and I absolutely love it. It adds length and volume without overdoing either. It doesn't clump, or give you 'spider legs,' just dont layer it on. One to two layers should suffice.

Lips. In this weather I simply reach for my lip balm. However if you really love colour or want to match a new outfit or something, instead of pulling out the lipstick or lipgloss, I suggest finding a tinted lip balm. They give you the colour without being extreme. Very classy and chiq.

Hair. So important. One of the most amazing products I have ever found would have to be the Ojon Hair Rub-out dry cleanser. This stuff is amazing! All you do is spray a little of it onto your roots and rub it out and it cleans it. It works wonders when your on the go and your hair is maybe a little greasy and you don't have time to have a shower. It makes your hair feel really fresh and clean between washings.

These tricks and products I use on a daily basis and I truly believe they are wonderful.
I really hope they help you as much as they helped me.
