If you search the words “Google AdSense” and “Making Money”, you’re guaranteed to get millions upon millions of results. Some may be legitimate, but more than likely, they’re simply scams to get your money. So how do you really make money from Google AdSense? Actually, do you even know what Google AdSense is? It’s best to build a base first before trying to build the third floor as an ancient Chinese proverb went.

What better source of information than the provider itself, Google. As Google so kindly puts it, AdSense allows website owners to place ads on their sites that are relevant to the site. Gone are the days when car advertisements were on a lollipop for children site. In theory, Google AdSense can actually help you make a lot of money. But this is only true if you know what you’re doing. Simply making a random website and putting ads on the site will not help you earn hundreds of bucks, let alone thousands that some sites claim they can help you do.

So how do you really make money online? First of all, it requires hard work. So, before you even start, you need to get the right mindset. Don’t think Google AdSense is an easy money making opportunity, because it’s not. Instead, think of it as a challenge, much like scaling Mount Everest. If you think of it that way, you won’t rush into things and be so quickly disappointed. Next, after you have the right mindset, you need a website. Whether you hire someone to make one or do it yourself, make sure your website is appealing! Nothing turns people off more than a hideous website layout. There are hundreds of free templates online for you to choose from. So do everyone a favor, and yourself a favor, by using a template if you can’t make a good design. After you’ve chosen your design, you need a website hoster. Some examples of free ones would be angelfire.com, freewebs.com, and tripod.com. If you have the money, invest in a good domain name. Once you’ve completed your webpage, added Google AdSense onto the pages. Try and limit the amount of advertisements you put on one page. If you have too many advertisements all clustered everywhere, it makes your site very unprofessional looking. Don’t hide the advertisements either; put them in easy places for people to click. Once you’ve placed the ads, the last, and most important step, can be done: tell everyone about your site! The best way to get clicks is to get people to visit your site. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, dog! Anyone will do. Just spread the word because more exposure is equated to more clicks! You can even use a traffic generating site if you so choose. Use Google Analytics to see where most of your traffic is coming from and cater to those individuals. Remember, the more that people visit your site, the more likely they will click an ad, which also means the more likely you’ll get money and be on your way to making big bucks with Google AdSense!
