Netspray: Ebay of the future

Netspray is sweeping the Internet marketing community.  Everyone is buzzingthat it is the next Ebay.  It is following the same pattern as Ebay in the early days.  Experts are excited about the potential of combining online selling with the power of social networking.  Netspray calls it "social-ad marketing."

People always look back on any big thing and reflect that they should have gotten in on the start of it.    That's not to say that there are not still opportunities available  with Ebay, because there are.  This author pays for groceries with Ebay money every week.  But, the big money was made in the earlier days before the competition got stronger and the fees got bigger. Don't let that happen to you with Netspray. 

If you are familiar with Ebay, you will understand how to list an item with Netspray, but you will be in for some surprises!  When you register, which is free, you are not required to give any credit card information!  Very little information has to be filled out at all.  And it's fast.  The listing interface is very simplified and quick.  You need a digital picture of your item, as usual.  But, there are NO listing fees, and NO final value fees!  There is a site where browsers can see your item. You must have a Paypal account, so if someone buys something, you can get paid.  You also can copy and paste a code with which you can place an advertisement on your Facebook Myspace, Twitter, or blogs to sell your item.  This little active link with a picture is called a "widget."  This is where the social-ad marketing comes in; you can "SPRAY THE NET" with your item for sale.

When you list your item, you are asked what you are willing to pay someone as commission in order to sell your item for you. They can copy your widget and place it on their Facebook and sell your item for you.  Naturally, the higher your commission, the more likelihood someone will go to the trouble of promoting your item.  The really innovative and new part of Netspray is the ability to make money without a product.  If you don't want to list an item, you just peruse the items for sale, and click on Sell under the picture.  You can download this code to place as many of these widgets as you want to on your social networking sites or your blog.  You might place a widget for someone who markets dog collars on your blog featuring pets.  You would have a virtual little store, and you never even lay a hand on any merchandise.

Social-ad marketing may very well be the direction our economy is going.  Ebay has grown to mammoth proportions and continues to do a tremendous market grab, but Ebay sales are lagging, and the Internet may just be ready for the next big thing.  Twitter has made a big splash, becoming more popular every day.  So, combining Ebay and Twitter seems like a genius idea.  You can upgrade to a very inexpensive subscription that, among other things, allows you to upload expired items from your unsold items to Netspray in bulk, instead of one at a time.
