A lot of flash games aren’t worth a second try and it can be hard to find a good one among the deluge of offerings. Here we list ten games that are all examples of creative genius. Eye catching graphics and addictive game play, these gems will keep your eyes glued to the screen. You have been warned!
To play these games its best to search for them on Google or visit popular flash games sites such as http://www.newgrounds.com and http://www.kongregate.com.
Commando 2
“Commando 2”, a fun platform based action game where you fight your way through several enemy packed levels based in a far eastern locale using guns, knives, grenades, Molotov cocktails and more. Beautiful animations, interesting level design, background music and jam packed with baddies and bosses to kill.

Dolphin Olympics
May sound like a silly premise but this is a very fun game. Take control of a dolphin in the sea and in two minutes gain as many points as you can by jumping high and long out of the water, creating splashes, doing flips and swimming as fast as possible. Swim through “power up” hoops in or outside the water to gain speed and do bigger jumps. Combine tricks as combos to acquire more points.
QuickFire 9 Ball Pool
“QuickFire 9 Ball Pool” is an addictive 9 ball pool game where you have to pot as many full racks as you can in a limited time frame. Test your accuracy and speed as you aim for a high score.

Penguinz
“Peguinz” is a sinfully fun side scrolling shooting game where you play a trigger happy penguin with an arsenal of deadly weapons ranging from pistols and shotguns to rocket launchers as he battles hordes of axe wielding enemies (more penguins!) bent on killing him. Gory animations of penguins getting mutilated are part of this game’s charm.
Final Ninja Zero
Play as Takeshi a stealthy ninja on a mission to kill the evil Dr. Victor Bashi in this platform based . Use throwing knives to kill baddies and blow up obstacles. You also have a rope which you can use to swing up to higher platforms and past tricky obstacles. Challenging level design will test your timing and dexterity. Good music and story narration help make things even more interesting.

Fancy Pants Adventure: World 2
Amazing platform game. Run, jump and flip your way through fun, well designed levels packed with spiders, rifle men and other enemies; which you jump on to kill ala mario. Collect as many “squiggles” (equivalent of a ring in sonic the hedgehog) as you can while advancing through the levels. Levels include fun props to make use of such as springs boards to catapult you to great heights, ropes to scale across and walls to climb. Pretty visuals, quirky background music and an amusing story are the icing on the cake.
The Last Stand 2
Innovative game where you play a man battling hordes of zombies in a creepy town. From behind a barricade you use guns, chainsaws, booby traps and more to thwart the army of zombies that descend upon you. After a wave of zombies has been killed off you get a limited amount of zombie free hours to “spend”. You can use these hours to fix up your barricades and thus your defence or use them to explore the town and look for survivors (who will help you man the barricades) and weapons.

Monster’s Den: Book of Dread 2
A very immersive dungeon crawling rpg game. First select a party of four members from a variety of classes, including warriors, clerics, mages and rogues. Then plunge into endless dungeons where you will encounter lichs, skeletons, wraiths and many more enemies in fun turn based combat. You can fight melee style, poison enemies, cast fireballs and lighting bolts, heal friends and a host of other actions during battle. Pick armour, weapons and potions of enemies and find treasure all over the dungeons. The second Book of Dread includes more enemies, items, classes and includes a shop. Bound to keep you distracted for hours.
Warlords Call to Arms
Beware playing this innovative strategy game. It may consume many hours of your life. You first select one of many races, including humans, elves and orcs and then embark on a crusade to conquer the world. From the world map you choose which land you want to conquer. During battle your men advance from the left of the screen and your enemy’s from the right. A timer indicates when you can spawn new units and these include spearmen, swordsmen, mages and many more. Your objective is to push a bar at the top of the screen all the way to the right which happens every time one of your soldiers crosses all the way across the screen from left to right and moves back when the enemy’s unit does so. Gain money from kills and use them to upgrade skills and buy new units.

Free Rider
On an empty canvas draw lines and curves to create innovative and fun tracks. Then take control of any of a selection of vehicles including a truck and a bike and ride through your track flipping and jumping along the way. Use “power ups” to spice up your track and these include placing boosters on your track to give your rider a short burst of propulsion when you ride through them, a slow motion “power up” that will do the opposite and even place bombs to act as obstacles to dodge or to blow your rider into smithereens. Very fun game.
