New Home Design Tool - Nansulate
New nanotechnology product enters the household to change the face of insulation.
As an eco-friendly product with its water-based formula, Industrial Nanotech, Inc.'s Nansulate is a non-toxic product that has been NSF certified to be safe with the incidental contact with food. Being so thin and transparent that it’s literally painted onto the intended surface, the insulation doesn’t change the aesthetic appeal of its work area and requires minimal effort in its installation. As a hydrophobic product, Nansulate simultaneously acts as an invisible barrier to protect against corrosion under insulation, and more importantly prevents mold growth by sealing the surface from moisture. The product is also used as a means of lead encapsulation through its effective airtight seal. Overall, homeowner satisfaction with Nansulate has been overwhelming since its recent debut. With typical energy-saving results ranging between 20-40% on average heating bills, the insulation more than pays for itself within a few years.
Serious problems of conventional insulation may go unnoticed to most homeowners (mold growth, corrosion under insulation, ecological issues, vermin infestation, etc), but they are all grave issues that a proper application of Nansulate can prevent. Yet despite being a Building Products Top 100 award-recipient in 2008, Nansulate remains an undiscovered jewel in the home improvement market for much of mainstream America. For some, Nansulate is so incredibly thin that it’s often difficult to believe it doesn’t sacrifice performance, let alone actually improve the thermal seal of traditional insulation. Yet due to its practical use of heat-reducing nanomaterials in its conception, this insulation is a thin film that efficiently solves an abundance of issues once painted onto a surface and let alone to dry.
