This uis a very tasty Cajun Fried Fish recipe. If you like spicy this is for you.

This is a tasty easy recipe for Cajun Fried Fish. It is easy to fix for a delicious dinner. I lived in Cajun country for quite a few years.I picked up quite a few delicious recipes. I love fish and it is so good for you. So I'm going to share this one with you.

The fish can be of your own choice. I like catfish, mai mai ,flounder, trout and redfish.

Purchase 5 or 6 pieces of fish depending on you or how large of a  family you have to feed. You you need to double the recipe. You will need Tony's Seafood Seasoning, yellow mustard, 2 eggs, vegetable oil,1 cup cornmeal and 1 cup flour.

In a shallow pan beat the 2 eggs well. In a large plastic bag  (the kind that seals) mix the cornmeal and flour together well. Add the Tony's seafood seasoning usually about 3 Tbsp. If you like very spicy add a little more.  Shake  the plastic bag well again.

Wash the fish and pat dry. Put some of the vegetable oil into a iron skillet if you have one or any deep frying skillet. Let the oil get hot while you put some yellow mustard about 3 to 4 Tbsp in a medium bowl. Dredge the each piece of fish through the  mustard then dredge through the beaten egg and  then drop into the bag. Shake up the bag so the fish is coated well.

When the vegetable is hot enough for frying (you can check by dropping a little flour in it) Drop in 3 or 4 pieces of fish carefully. Let the fish fry to a golden brown. Take up each piece with a slotted spoon onto a paper towel lined platter. The paper towel is to soak up excess oil. Do this again until all your fish is cooked.

Serve with cold slaw, fries, hush puppies and iced tea. UMMM these fish are good.
