Dealing with anxiety and stress, and working on overcoming it...sometimes

I've suffered from anxiety problems my entire life. I'm not a professional, and if you're having anxiety problems, you should probably see your phyciatrist or doctor. This is just how I personally deal with mine, and my methods sometimes work for me, and sometimes don't.

When my stress is really bad, most often I talk to my boyfriend, or someone else close to me. It's the method that works the best for me. Talking it out tends to force me to think in realistic terms, as opposed to just going over and over something in my own head, without any conclusions. It forces me to bring it out in the open, where I can see things more objectively.

Another way I deal with anxiety is to try to take better care of myself. Usually when I'm too stressed out, I'm often not getting enough sleep, eating right, drinking too much coffee, and smoking too much. Sometimes it's hard to tell which is the cause and which is the effect, but I always start to feel better when I take care of myself better on a physical level.

Excersize is another good stress reliever. Simply getting out of the house can make me feel a lot better. Lifting weights is even more effective, and makes me look better in the process.

Meditation really helps when I'm having too much anxiety, but I don't utilize this method enough. Almost never, but when I do use it, it seems to control my stress like nothing else. It's hard to do for me though, I always feel like I'm being lazy if I'm just sitting around trying to relax, and it feels like I'm wasting time. On a subconsious level though, I know it would benefit me greatly if meditation were a larger factor in my life.

Sometimes I also stress that in front of the computer on, especially if there are people complaining, huh... I want to punch him.
