TGI Friday Restaurant Review Vestal New York

Chrissie and I ventured up to Vestal, New York to visit TGI Fridays for lunch and the food and service were excellent. I do not recall ever having visited this chain before. After my first visit to TGI Fridays, I know I will be back there as soon as possible.

I have seen the commercials on television, and let me tell you the food in the restaurant appears in front of you the same. The portions are huge, and so good. It was so hard not to overeat here.

It impressed me right off the bat that the hostess held the door open for us. It was almost as if she were welcoming us into her home. I felt totally at ease. We sat by the windows which over looked the patio, we would have sat out there, but it looked as if it would rain any minute.

Looking over the menu it was hard to make a decision on what to order, everything with photographs looked delicious and the items with only text sounded so good. I settled on chicken, shrimp and mashed potatoes while Chrissie got a JD burger and fries. I ordered a sprite while she ordered a diet coke, my only disappointment this entire time would be no Pepsi or at least root beer.

When we arrived at the restaurant at 11 am, there were a few other customers, but more would arrive while we ate. Each time the hostess would open the door for all customers, which was very nice.

The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was one of laid-back attitude but in a good way. Everyone seemed to be enjoying himself or herself without anyone being loud it was that nice.

When our meal came, I was shocked at how big it was, I could have shared it with a friend. I had the jack Daniels chicken and shrimp. It came with a side of mashed potatoes. I highly recommend this entrée it was delicious. I had plenty of shrimp, chicken a generous portion of potatoes and mixed green beans, and a cup of the Jack Daniels' dipping sauce.

The mashed potatoes had pieces of cheddar cheese mixed in and there were a few pieces of green onion sprinkled on top. They were so good, that I could have only ordered a few sides of them and been truly happy.

There were six pieces of huge shrimp on the plate deep friend to perfection, and the grilled chicken was a good-sized portion. I dunked the chicken into the dipping sauce and was in heaven. I also tried the dipping sauce on the shrimp, mashed potatoes, and the green beans. Oh my, it was great.

Chrissie enjoyed her Jack Daniels Burger, which was a huge burger, and many fries. She also got a cup of dunking sauce that she put on both of her items.

Both of us were so full, we did not order desert. The deserts looked very filling and delicious but we could eat no more. Our meal was $31 and change, but well worth it for the food, we got.

Both of our portions were so big that we each brought half of our food home. She will eat hers for supper me I am enjoying mine now. This chicken is so good cold from the refrigerator, and that says a lot about the quality of ingredients they use there at TGI Fridays.
