Pajamas or pants?

Fashion statements are not just surfacing now; they have been here for a while. The attire is visible and is it questionable?

We have all seen the light material, sometimes very clingy fabric that is selected as outer wear.  In the stores, that I frequently shop, these items are in the lounging or pajama sections. They are purchased and worn as pants for outer wear by teen girls.

Some designs of this item have open fronts, almost fly-like, or drawstring closures. They pull attention to you with bright colors and unusual patterns. These items can be worn by either sex, but I have yet to see any males wear these with any confidence. The girls that I have seen wearing these articles of clothing do not adjust the garment to close with any security, so the fronts remain somewhat open at times, showing undergarments.

Material is material and this item could be sewed in such a way to not offend others if it was to be selected to be worn as pants and not what  the purpose of it is,  on sale, at the store, in the loungewear sections. When a young girl advertises a look under her outer wear to peek at what is obvious under that garment, it  creates an image of her, perhaps not known. This is to let you know, so you can no longer say "I did not know."

In the pajama atmosphere, just about anything goes, since that is a private area for you. When the public sector is entered, a consideration for others is necessary. If not for courtesy, for decency so others are not influenced by you apparel. Consideration for others can be a goal to enter adulthood.

I remember when the style for girls was wearing mens boxers over leggings and tight jeans.

I haven't worn pajama bottoms since I last responded to this article. Now, when I'm out in public and see them, it *feels* weird.

I don't think it's proper wear outside of the house. Great article.

Goodself, this is very interesting. My granddaughter isn't into these yet but I'm sure she will be. I can see I will have to teach her how to sew. By the way I'm Ruby Hawk on Triond.

lol, this is sadly very true, I can relate and I must say I would never dare go out in anything even remotely similar to pajama pants in any way shape or form. It does however create discussion when with someone... or just discust while by yourself.

I once wore pajama bottom to work, but NOTHING hung out at any juncture. Nobody ever saw my draws. Nothing was tight. I just always thought that it was in *particularly* bad taste to wear such garments in the workplace. But then again, it's the times we're living in. How many pairs of male draws have I seen this year??? Ack~! More than I care to remember.
