Summer fun with these activities is simple. Check out this list that will make your kids have productive fun this summer holiday.

Summer Holidays may not be the most dreaded of all times for parents. Just as they need not be the most boring of all times for students. The summers can be the ideal time to catch up with a host of activities that you don't have time for during school time. Here's my top ten summer activities fun list.

1. Swimming
: No matter how old you are its always fun to escape the heat and splash in the swimming pool. Can't go to the pool, use a small one in the back yard. Its still heaps of fun.

2. Beach time : Just head for the beach with your spade and bucket. Splash in the waves, make a sand castle, play volley ball. Don't live by the sea side, make a sand pit in the back yard.

3. Treasure Hunt : A good set of clues to follow with a desirable reward at the end. It can keep the children busy for hours at an end. Increase or decrease the number of clues to end the game when you want.

4. Blowing Bubbles
: Get the kids involved by making a soap solution and twisting wires to blow bubbles. Now have a competition to see whose bubbles are the largest. Make them experiment with different lengths of wire.

5. Trekking
: Many professional trekking groups have special summer treks for kids. It could be anything from half a day to a week long trip. Choose according to the age and fitness level of your child.

6. Learn the Guitar : Or the drums, or any musical instrument that has caught your fancy. The summers are an ideal time to learn and practice playing a musical instrument.

7. Gardening : From watering the lawn, to raking leaves, to weeding and actually planting a patch with some flowers. This is an activity that smaller children would love to do each day. They even learn to be responsible for their own patch.

8. Fly a Kite
: Learn to make a flight worthy kite out of twigs and kite paper. Or just get a ready made kite and have fun flying it. The more kites and friends out there, the more fun it will be.

9. Family Tree : Sit down with your grand parents and find out about your ancestors. Sketch out a family tree. You can even trace long lost cousins and find out how their side of the family has grown.

10. Volunteer : It could be a charity that is having a sale or a pet shelter that needs help. Find a worthy cause that you feel you can contribute to. Kids will enjoy being a part of such social activities.

So now that is ten super activities that you can indulge in this summer. No time to get bored now, is there. Only hope you have enough time to run through the entire list.
