How to Take a Soothing Nature Bath
A bath can be the ultimate form of relaxation. Here's how to take a soothing, nature bath.
Sometimes the stress of a busy life can make us feel frazzled and we need a brief escape. What better way to escape than through the comfort of a warm bath? An even better idea is to turn an ordinary bath into a healing, nature bath. It only takes twenty minutes to experience the soothing power that a nature bath can have on your psyche. Here's how bring the healing power of nature into your bathroom:
Supplies Needed
A CD player
A CD of new age music selections
Herbal tea bags in your favorite flavors and scents
Natural jar candles with your favorite fragrances
A bath pillow
To take your nature bath:
Remove all distractions.
Now's the time to unplug your telephone and let your family know you won't be available for the next twenty to thirty minutes. You don't want any distractions when you take your nature bath.
Set up your CD player.
Hook your CD player into a wall socket in the bathroom and insert your new age CD. Make sure your CD player is far removed from your water source. You don't need an unexpected shock to alter this stress relieving experience.
Draw your bath water.
Draw a tub full of warm bath water and drop your herbal tea bags into the water Lavender is a nice choice for a nature bath and adds a wonderful scent to your water. Savor the sweet smell of the herbs and the warmth of the water as your tub fills. This can be relaxing by itself.
Place your natural candles.
Place your natural jar candles at various points around the bathtub and light them with a match. Be sure to place them in areas where they won't burn you or fall into the water.
It's time to enjoy your nature bath.
Grab your pillow and step into the warm pool of fragrant, healing water. Lie back with your head on your bath pillow and close your eyes. Let the sweet sounds of the music and the subtle fragrance of the herbs soothe your mind and soul. Visualize the stress and worries of the day melting from your body into the water to be washed away when your nature bath is over.
When your twenty minute nature bath is completed, you should feel refreshed and renewed. You can vary your nature bath by using different natural bath products or learning to make all natural bath recipes of your own.
Use a nature bath as a therapeutic escape when you become overstressed. It will give you something relaxing to look forward after a hard day.
