Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to change your default homepage when you use Internet Explorer.
Changing your default homepage can make a huge difference to the way you use the Internet. All you need to know is what you would like to use as your new homepage and follow these simple steps. Remember you can use any website as your homepage.
First click on the Windows circle for Windows Vista or Start button on the bottom left corner of your screen if you are using Windows XP or older. Then go to Control Panel.
A box that looks like this should pop up:

If you are running Windows Vista, and the Control Panel doesn't look like the image above then click on Classic View on the top left corner of the Control Panel window.
Now that you are into the Control Panel, next you want to click on Internet Options. This will open a window that looks like this:

Now type in or copy and paste what you would like to have as your new homepage in the box circled in the graphic below:

Once you're done adding in the website address click on OK at the bottom of the Internet Properties window. Now close Internet Explorer and open it once more. You should now see your new default homepage.
If you don't see the page you chose please follow these steps again and review the spelling of your desired homepage. If the spelling is correct and you are still not reaching your preferred page it is possible you have contracted some spyware or a virus. You should run a spyware scan and a virus scan.
