Fallensword - Browser Based MMORPG
A great, fun and fast pace browser based MMORPG. Sure to keep you interested for quite some time. Plenty to do and updates all the time.
The land of Fallen Sword is filled with plenty of evil monsters to keep to you busy hacking and slashing away. If killing other players is more attractive to you then they also have several forms of player versus player. In Fallen Sword you will almost never be alone; the game supports player guilds and player auctions. The game has been created in such a way that it promotes both playing in groups and playing in a guild. You have complete control over your created character and its limits are only bound by the amount of time you invest into the game. With over 700 player levels and an endless variation of locations to explore and several professions to learn and master, there is never a dull moment.
Here are a few things that you might want to know before you start your journey.
Guilds:
Being a part of a guild is simply a must. Although you can traverse the world of Fallen Sword alone, you will find much more benefits of playing in a guild. Guilds are structured to give its members particular buffs. Most of these buffs make it easier to get better items, more xp per kill, higher stat points based on your level and much more. Playing in a guild will also allow you to form attack groups. Attack groups are a one-time thing that is meant for taking on some of the stronger monsters in the game. The guild structure in Fallen Sword also features a guild store and a guild bank. Each buff, or structure as they are called, that a guild has requires upkeep. You pay this upkeep with gold, so depositing money into the guild bank on a daily basis and giving to the guild actually has a purpose other than just showing your loyalty. It puts the players in the guild in a more of a friendly setting. The more gold a guild has, the more structures they can afford which ultimately makes all members of the guild stronger.
It is important to find the right guild for yourself, especially if you are a new player. The ideal guild to join is one that has either been around for some time or that is a high level. Higher level guilds typically have items for you to use once you meet the level requirements. They also have member who have the ability to buff your character with buffs that will make leveling go by so much faster. So find a high level guild, they are several who are almost always recruiting. Become a member and starting donating guild and/or items to help make your guild stronger.

As you Level:
Every time you kill a creature, you gain experience points. When you reach a set amount of experience, your level will increase and you will be awarded 5 skill points and 2 level up points. Typically it's always your best bet to put all your level up points into your damage statistic because your goal should be to have your damage so high that you are killing creatures in 1 blow. The reason for that is because of the way stamina works. Stamina is the stat that determines how long you can play the game on a given day. All actions in Fallen Sword (aside from depositing gold and placing an auction or trading with a player) cost you a few points of stamina. Moving around in the world will cost you 1-2 stamina depending on your direction. Each battle you do with a player or creature costs stamina. If it takes you 3 hits to kill a creature, you use 3 stamina.
Your skills are simply just buffs that are castable on you and other players. Some skills make you hit harder, harder to kill, give you more xp when you kill a creature, give you more gold when you kill a creature or just give you small advantages. I will say that it would be a good idea to find out which buffs are the most sought after simply because once you have enough points into a given skill, you are able to sell them for profit.
Upgrading your Character:
There are several ways you can go about upgrading your character. The first and most common way is to just play and kill creatures, which is known as hunting. Killed creatures have a chance of dropping gear that you can equip on your character. The gear has stats listed on them that will make your character stronger. Another way to upgrade your character is to buy the upgrades with what is known as fallen sword points.
When a player starts the game they are given 3 inventory slots, 500 stamina, 1 daily bank deposit and are allowed to have 2 auctions running at any one time. New players are also limited to the amount of allies and enemies they can have shown on their profile page. All of these and more can be upgraded by spending fallen sword points.

Obtaining Fallen Sword Points:
The sure-fire way to get some fallen sword points is to just buy them with real life money. You can get 20 for $5, 52 for $10, 110 for $20, 250 for $40 or 400 for $60. You also have the option of filling out free surveys to get some points but they are a onetime deal. If you do decide to do the free surveys, save all your fallen sword points for items that you really need. The guild you choose should give you 90% of the gear you need to level effectively so spending fallen sword points on items should be necessary until you are a much higher level. You can also purchase fallen sword points in the market place. They typically sell for 125,000 for 1 fallen sword point. At lower levels this may seem like a lot but at higher levels the gold starts rolling in so fast that it starts to look like a fair amount.
Don't be discouraged by this though. The works and you are able to play it just like everyone else without forcing you to purchase these points, especially if you join a guild.
Fallen Sword is a diverse and complex game and as much as I tried, this review doesn't do it justice. The more you play it and the higher level you become, the more addictive the game becomes. So if you're looking for a great MMORPG that is great for all ages and does require any downloading, give Fallen Sword a try.
